WARNING: Obsessive Snuggler Alert! BettyJo! Oh my, what can you say about this little beauty.  BettyJo is the sweetest kitten and she will completely steal your heart. She loves to come sit in your lap, on your shoulder, or snuggle around your neck at bedtime or naptime. As soon as I go to bed, she hops on my back or check and purrs up a storm.  She is super playful and loves to explore. If something moves, she is going to catch it.  If she is not running and playing, she is sitting nearby watching me work, or in the afternoons, demanding she be held in my lap.  BettyJo is likely a bit too feisty for young children. She loves to come to you, hop in your lap, but she does not like to be picked up. She will come to you and let you know she wants to be picked up, but if you try to catch her and pick her up, she is a bit prickly and will scratch you. (Although, give it 2 minutes and sit down and she will come hop back in your lap.)  She will do well with older kids who can play with her on her terms.  She is most playful when my kids are at school and the house is quiet.  BettyJo has recently been introduced to a dog and is still not a fan. If the dog is in the room, we have to watch her pretty close to make sure she does not attack it while it is sleeping.  BetttyJo does well with the other cats in the home. Her favorite playment currently is Reed. He is just a tad larger than she is, but she holds her own very well. She loves to pounce on the other cats/kittens, but then when they pounce back, she yells and screams like they are hurting her. It used to get the other cats in trouble, but I finally caught onto her tricks. Little stinker! BettyJo is microchipped, current on vaccines and scheduIed to be spayed Sept 27th. She should be ready for her forever at the end of September. BettyJo is currently available for pre-adoption. She won't last long, so be sure to submit your application ASAP. Preference given to applications interested in adoptiong both BettyJo and Reed together. If you are interested in both BettyJo and her playmate Reed, (https://petlover.petstablished.com/petlover/pets/1173698) be sure to let us know. Individual adoption fee is $150 or $250 if you adopt a pair. show less

Celeste (female, approx 2 years old) is the mother of Skylar. Celeste is a petite girl, taken in as a stray the day she gave birth.  She was a very tolerant mom to her rambunctious babies. But now that they’re grown and adopted, Celeste’s own personality has come through.  She’s very timid at first, but equally curious. When given time to adjust, she will eventually make her way to you to sniff your hand and give you a head nudge of approval that you may scratch her head.  She LOVES to have her head and back scratched!  That is how you win her over for sure.  In fact, she will even go crosseyed if the head scratches are just right.  Celeste is only about 2 years old, but plays so silly you’d think she was younger!  There’s definitely plenty of “kitten” in her!  She’ll need a proper introduction to other pets, but will be just fine with them.  She hasn’t really been around young children, but she is so mild mannered I couldn’t see her having any problems.  In a house full of frenzied cats at dinner time, Celeste sits patiently to the side while I put down everyone’s plates.  She is a perfect kitty!  She is bonded with her daughter Skylar.  These two were originally adopted together, but were returned a couple months later when their new family unexpectedly had moved out of the country show less
