0321189 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! The Daring D Troop We are the Daring D Troop! We are 7 super girls led by Brother Doman (the only male and white pup)  We are GSD mixes and ready to conquer the world!  We came to CO by ourselves but found a safe home with 2 other foster brothers and 2 foster sisters.  We were born on February 1st, and came to CO on March 31st. Since then we have been having tons of fun with our foster brothers and sisters.  Since there are 8 of us, so we quickly established a potty area and sleeping area. But our foster mom sometime says we like dancing in our poo – she is pretty quick to get off her laptop working after we go an start dancing. hehehehe We did come to CO with mange, and most of us have our fur back, which make us really pretty and really soft. We just got fixed on April 14th, So we can’t have a bath until the 24th. Foster mom has been giving us sponge baths – We like those better, we try to help her by taking the cloth and showing her where to clean.  Brother Doman is the daring of us all. He was the first to figure out the secret opening when foster mom opens the pen to clean and discovered the out doors! Is it always wet in Colorado? Today he got yelled at by Foster mom because he figured out a way 3 times to climb out of our pen. Hehehehe The first and third time she found him on the love seat. The second time he climbed the pen to get our foster brothers porcupine stuffed animal.  We were cheering him on each time!  She locked down the climbable area’s of the pen now – so no more fun climbing for him. But she allows us to go outside while she cleans the pen. Some of us stay inside and make an adventure of the puppy room, others of us go with the older fosters and venture outside to the deck. Some of us are learning to potty out there too!  Since we don’t know our mom or dad, we don’t know how big we will be, but one thing for sure, we will love you forever. show less

0221139 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! Diesel AKA D, Son of Dot and unknown father. I am listed as a Lab mix and unlike my brother Dragon who was all black, I have white socks and a cute white chest.  I get along great with other dogs, but we can get into serious rumbles. I am all boy and love to wrestle! – But I am also a lover! ❤ I love playing with my younger foster brother and sisters they are only 2 months old, but lots of fun to play with. My favorite is 6 month foster brother CJ. He and I have a great time, often napping together. My 2 older foster sisters sometime play a little too rough with me, (She still think she is a puppy, but she is a year old).  I am about 4 months old and love to discover new things. I mastered the stairs just a few weeks ago and love going up and down it. I sleep with my Foster mom at night, and have kinda figured out how to get into her high bed, but I usually let her pick me up and set me in bed – she seems to like that.  I don’t really like that white stuff that comes down, its really cold. But I like it went its melting and jumping in puddles. I love spending time outside in the sun and playing in the yard.  I still have a couple accidents in the house, but I got this house training thing Foster Mom keeps teaching me almost down. I like it when she gets all excited after I poo or pee outside – I really don’t get it.  My foster mom lets me lie down on top of her recliner or by her side as she is working, and I sleep next to her at night. When she is away, I have this kennel with the comfiest bed in it and she always gives us all a treat before she goes on her errands – she doesn’t go often enough honestly.  She gives us bananas, apples, carrots, some yogurt for treats. One of her Puppies turned one last month and we got this thing call puppichino and an frozen puppy treat. Those were yummy!  She has these things that smell like beef, chicken, sometime liver. They are really small, and I have to sit, go to the kennel, lie down or something before she give me one of those.  They are yummy, but she doesn’t just let us have them like she does the carrots and apples. show less

0221038 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! I also seem to be part pittie, I can NOT go to a home in a city or county with pitbull restrictions! Hi all, my name is Drax! I am the sweetest lab mix...most likely mixed with an attention hound! I love belly rubs, head scratches, leaning against people for attention, and when you tell me how good I am (which you undoubtedly will), I like to hop up and down like a pogo stick. It’s been a bit chilly since I got to Colorado so I’ve really been enjoying lazy couch time in front of the fireplace. I think the couch is my spirit animal. I don’t mind going outside with you, I’ll stick pretty close for now. I’ve had no accidents in my foster home and in all my exploring, I have gotten into no trouble at all. While I do well in a crate, I’m not the biggest fan.  Nothing is known of my past and I don’t currently have any exposure to kids or cats but I probably would do better in a house with kids....maybe 7 or older (mostly because of my love for leaning which might knock a little one over....and I like to lick your face a lot). I haven’t met any dogs in Colorado yet due to the weather, but I did meet a few in New Mexico that I liked. Anyway, if you want someone to hang out on the couch with, please consider me! show less

1220086 I need a single family home since I seem to be part pittie! I can NOT go to a home in a city or county with pitbull restrictions.  Hi my name is Ferra. I also answer to Sara and Bo. I about 8 months old. I might be part boxer or pit bull. We aren’t really sure, but I do have a block head, rose bud ears and an under bite with a beautiful bright white smile. I like telling my foster mom when something doesn’t seem quite right, sometimes when people walk in the room, I head a weird sound or I see that scary thing called a vacuum I can’t help but bark. I have been really nice when meeting new people and dogs with my foster mom, but I look to her for guidance and I like her to tell me it’s okay. I sometimes stop and bark when I see people at a distance because I’m still learning that people are my friends. I can be a little shy, but overall I’m a really good girl. I enjoy playing tug and keep away with my brother and foster sisters. I can be a little possessive of the toy I am playing with sometimes. Once I am worn out I like to snuggle up with the big dogs on their beds or the sofa with my foster parents and cuddle. I like tummy and ear rubs. My tail is a little crooked, but I don’t mind having it touched too much, my foster mom thinks it got hurt when I was really little. I think bones, squeekies and stuffies are awesome! I am house trained and go to the door when I have to “potty”, the big dogs helped teach me that! I am crate trained, that’s where I like to eat and sleep, but if you decide that I can sleep with you, I’d be alright with that! I’m a pretty smart girl and learned “sit”, “shake”, “high five”, “come”, “in” or “go night-night”(for crate time), “kiss”and “no” already. My foster mom usually makes me take a mid-day nap which I don’t mind. I sometimes like to stand up on my foster parents legs, or sniff to see what’s on the counters, but I’m pretty good when they say “down.” We are working on “drop it” but I can be a little stubborn sometimes. I have very good leash manners, and don’t pull at all. I love treats, my foster mom calls them “cookies” and I take them gently. I make the cutest sound when I yawn, and sometimes I howl!?! Maybe I learned that from the husky dog that’s here. Long car rides make me feel sick to my tummy. But maybe in more time that’ll go away. I don’t care too much for bath time, but I do okay in the shower, weird right? I am about 40 pounds right now, and I’m just about done growing although my foster mom thinks I’ll probably fill out a little more, since I already have well defined muscles. I would love a home that it patient with me as I learn to trust you, where I can run and play, go on adventures and at the end of the day give all my cuddles. show less

0421150 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! I also seem to be part pittie, so I CAN NOT go to a home in a city or county with pitbull restrictions! Meet Bubbie! The dog formally known as Bubbles.  Bubbies is 75% great dog with 25% room for training.  Bubbie loves cuddles, food/snacks, playing with toys- she’s a chewer so black Kong and Lacrosse balls were the biggest hit, and totally responds to positive reinforcement paired with kindness.  She’ll do anything to please. In fact, in one week she became:     ⁃    potty trained (but doesn’t know how to ask to go out yet)      ⁃    is cat friendly due to dedicated training socialization      ⁃    Sits     ⁃    Stays (just started and it’s paired with waiting to eating her food)     ⁃    Kinda rolls over      ⁃    Walks on the left as a part of her dedicated leash training     ⁃    Despises being in the crate but will go with coaxing  The 25% she needs help with:     ⁃    she’s reactive towards anything with wheels... cars, heavy construction equipment, motorcycles, bikes, strollers, wheel chairs, rolling chairs, etc.      ⁃    She has a strong prey drive and bunnies and squirrels are definite triggers      ⁃    She got really excited around all other dogs, which often led to nipping     ⁃    She’ll eat ANYTHING she finds on the ground that MIGHT be consumable, even if it’s DISGUSTING.  For our daily walks, she wore a harness AND a muzzle to control her wild snacking and nipping behaviors.  Basically, inside the home Bubbie is great and outside the home she’s in need of socialization.  We’ve gone to Starbucks, Walgreens, PetSmart, and Home Depot and it’s been successful. She was wearing a training vest so people were mindful, which was helpful.  She has a strong capacity to be an emotional support dog, and with specialized training she’ll shine. show less

0121062 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! I also seem to be part pittie! I can NOT go to a home in a city or county with pitbull restrictions. Let me tell you about Gucci, she’s approximately 2 years old Boxer Mix. We started fostering her and her two pups from DCCR a couple months ago, once her pups became available for adoption they quickly found forever homes but Gucci remained with us. We continued to foster other litters and Gucci mothered them all until they were adopted. Gucci has come a long way from when we first brought her home, she was overly rambunctious but with regular walks she has settled down quite a bit. She’s great on a leash but if she starts to pull just walk the opposite way and then she’ll fall in line and if you stand in place too long she’ll try and take the leash from your hand, so keep walking lol. Obviously she is great with other dogs and fantastic with our kid but she hasn’t been around cats yet. It breaks my heart that she hasn’t been adopted because she’s such a sweet girl that loves spending time with us and she gives me lots of hugs. Gucci loves playing catch, hide and seek, tug a war and chasing after our 5 year old Son. I love it when she takes the rope and pushes it into my kiddos hand to encourage him to play with her. At the end of the night she’ll snuggle up to him while he watches TV and falls asleep. Gucci does have selected hearing when I tell her it’s time for bed but when I gently pull on her collar she reluctantly goes into her kennel. She does know some of her basic commands but loves to dance on her hind leg. She’s a toy hog and needs to have durable toys or they won’t last long. She’s extremely gentle when taking treats and for some strange reasons she’ll bark like crazy if there’s another dog on the other side of the fence but if the dog is in front of her she’s chill. My only hope is that someone will notice how precious she is and give her a forever home. show less
