Please READ THIS! Proud Papa of many beautiful community kittens, Bernie was finally trapped, neutered, vaccinated and introduced to indoor living which he totally loves!  Bernie is a calm, gentle giant who just loves to hang out with people and other cats. Bernie tested positive for FIV, but otherwise is totally healthy. FIV can be transmitted to other cats during mating or through deep bite wounds which is so common among outdoor unaltered male cats. Bernie lives with 3 FIV(-) cats and a dog at his foster home in a peace and harmony. He’s a big fan of any kind of treats and is always first in a line during meal times. Bernie is so cute during play time: he chases balls like a young kitten and catches mosquitoes like a true hunter! Bernie is about 2-3 years old, 15lbs, FIV+, up to date on shots, microchipped, and neutered. We are looking for a home with no other cats, or to experienced cat home where Bernie will be properly introduced to resident cats.  Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails! Visit our website ( for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal.  Adoptions: Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue. show less
