Where do cows go on a Friday night? To the mooovies. Meet Baby Boy, or as his foster parents call him, Moo. He is a loving little lap dog that would enjoy nuzzling into your lap and snoozing, wrapped in a nice warm blanket, while you’re watching a mooovie or two on Netflix. Moo is half calf, half dog. Okay, not really, but his beautiful markings often have him mistaken for a small cow, which is why his foster family calls him Moo. He’s 1 year old, 12 lbs, and may be a terrier blend but we aren’t really sure. What we are sure of is that he’s adorable and unique. Moo loves other dogs, loves his chewies, loves toys (especially squeaky ones – those are the best!) and he absolutely loves every human that he meets. He’s eager to please and oh-so lovable. He’s a happy, funny, active, playful and sweet little man. Moo loves car rides and outings to meet new friends. One of his favorite things to do is play with his big, 70 lb foster brother, a nice game of rolling around the floor and bitey-face is right up his alley! Moo sleeps perfectly through the night, right beside his foster mom in his big, soft bed and his pile of blankies (one will not suffice, Moo must have several for digging and burrowing, of course). Moo is working on his house training and doing quite well if he’s let out regularly. He follows the lead of his foster siblings and he’s a quick learner. Moo isn’t a fan of being crated and much prefers a safe area that can be baby gated for him to rest if you’re away. He’d prefer the company of other dogs and would really like a new home with other playful pups around. If Moo is confined while you’re away, he’ll bark and cry for a bit so condo or apartment living are probably not ideal. If you can see yourself spoiling this little guy rotten and taking him on adventures with you, we’d love to learn more about you and have you fill out an adoption application. Moo is vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered and his adoption donation is $375. show less

Stevie Wonder. Ray Charles. Andrea Bocelli. Bodhi. Meet Bodhi, an 8-year-old, 15-lb Maltese and Shih Tzu blend boy, who is such a cool dog he only needs one name. We could all learn life lessons from Bodhi. His vision loss hasn’t altered his happy spirit one bit. He’s a handsome, super snuggler who gets along with everybody: people, dogs and cats. Bodhi loves to go on car rides and is always up for an outing with his person. He does well on leash walks and is a big fan of playing with doggy toys. Bodhi is happy all the time and he gets so excited when his person comes home that he does a special dance. Bodhi is the perfect companion for someone who wants a sweet, friendly dog that’s loving his life. His eye condition doesn't stop him one bit from enjoying his days outside soaking up the sun, or being next to you as you go about your day...he needs his medicated eye drops every day, which he takes with no issues, and a family to call his own. Also, a one level home without stairs would be best suited for him so he can maneuver around safely. Bodhi is crate trained. If this super cool snugglebug sounds like someone you’d like to come home to every day, we’d love to hear more about you and have you fill out an adoption application. Bodhi is heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. His adoption donation is $200. show less

Checkers is a 7-year-old, 69-pound Hound and Saint Bernard blend boy. With his markings, Checkers is one handsome guy! Not only does he impress you with his good looks, Checkers is super sweet and loving, too! Checkers is shy initially, but allow him some time to warm up to you and you will see he is ready to be your new best friend. Checkers simply adores his person. Do not be fooled by his age, Checkers is still full of energy and just tons of fun to be around! He likes to run around the yard or chase the ball, so he would be excited to find a forever family that can provide him with daily walks or exercise in the backyard. Checkers gets along with other dogs, but he can be a bit selective about his doggie friends. He would be fine sharing his forever home with another dog or two, preferably a female dog or a laid-back pooch. Alternatively, Checkers would also be content as your only pooch. While not a must-have, Checkers would love to find a forever home with a securely fenced-in yard, where he can stretch those long legs of his. This big guy can’t wait to find his very own forever family! Checkers is housetrained, heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. His adoption donation is $250. As part of our "big dogs, big love" adoption program, Checker's adoption fee includes three in home training session with a force-free, professional dog trainer. show less

Looking to spice up your life? Meet Cinnamon, a 2-year-old, 7 lb, Chinese Crested Powder Puff boy with movie star looks. If you asked this adorable boy to tell you about himself, he say: I’m a true "people dog”, I love long walks around the neighborhood, I’m crazy about chasing balls & squeaky toys and I love to crawl under the blankets and play hide and seek. Cinnamon is a great co-pilot in the car…he curls up in the front seat and patiently waits to get to his destination. He would love to have a play buddy but he’d be fine being your one and only too. Cinnamon definitely prefers an owner who is home more than not. He loves his person so much he doesn’t do so well if separated for too long…who would want to be away from this handsome fellow anyway? Cinnamon is best suited for a home as opposed to an apartment because he’s quite vocal and barks if he hears doors slamming, people talking etc. Cinnamon is still working on his housebreaking skills and will need an owner that has time to continue his training. Due to his sensitive nature, he is looking for someone who is patient, very gentle and can help him with his socialization skills so he’s more at ease around strangers. If you can see this little guy right next to you in your selfies, we’d love to hear from you and have you fill out an adoption application. Cinnamon is heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. His adoption donation is $350. show less

Cotton is a 1 year old, 60-pound American bulldog and Labrador Retriever blend boy. This young boy is as sweet as can be! Cotton has never met a stranger – he is super friendly and greets everyone he meets like a long lost friend. You won’t want to miss out on one of Cotton’s famous doggie kisses – this gentleman just has so much love to give! Cotton enjoys spending time outdoors: going for a walk, playing in the backyard, or simply laying on the porch and soaking up the sun. Cotton is still a young boy so loves playtime and has plenty of energy for long walks. After a good play session, Cotton turns into quite the snuggle bug – he loves to cuddle up beside you on the couch, or bury himself in a cozy blanket on a comfy dog bed. Cotton gets along well with other dogs, big or small. Therefore, he would be happy to share her forever home with another dog or two. However, Cotton prefers to be fed seperately from his doggie friends so no one can steal his food. If you don’t have any other dogs, Cotton would also be very content as your one and only. Cotton is deaf, but he is very attentive to his people and is learning to respond to hand signals, so his hearing deficit does not slow him down one bit. Sweet and gentle Cotton would make a wonderful addition to any family! He loves his people so much, he is hoping to find a family that can be home more often than not. Dolly is a 4-year-old, 48-pound Labrador Retriever and Bulldog blend girl. This gorgeous gal is a total sweetheart! Darling Dolly LOVES people! Dolly is very friendly and readily gives the sweetest bulldog kisses to everyone she meets. Her silly smile and gentle nature will win you over in an instant! Dolly is a polite girl, who already knows several common commands such as sit, wait, and leave it. Dolly does not jump up on people when greeting them, and rides politely in the car, but she is still refining her leash walking skills. Dolly is the perfect mix between a young exercise buddy and a laid-back, relaxed companion. She very much enjoys playtime in the yard or going for long walks, yet she is also content relaxing on a lazy afternoon. With proper introductions, Dolly gets along nicely with other dogs, so she would be content as your only pooch, or she would be fine sharing her forever home with another calm, mellow dog. Domino and Lola are a bonded pair of Miniature Poodles who are brother and sister and searching for a special kind of home that can accommodate two little love muffins. Domino, a 12-year-old, 8-lb male, and Lola, a 7-year-old, 11-lb female, are truly inseparable BFFs that love to snuggle together, play together and hang together. Don’t you worry though, there’s enough room for a human heart or two in this lovefest as they get very attached to their person and prefer to snuggle on or be next to, the closest lap available. They both get along well with other dogs and hold their own with bigger dogs. Both get excited when they see the leashes come out and are always ready for a good walk. Good companions to their person, they enjoy car rides and jump inside the car once that door opens. She is the dog you never knew you needed. Eleni is a 9-year-old, 17-pound Terrier blend girl with the sweetest disposition. This gentle soul will warm your heart when she wanders around exploring things, enjoying her new comfortable life of leisure, in between naps of course. She does have the occasional time where she wants to play and she will take off hopping wanting you to chase her. She’s a quiet little lady who gets along with everyone she meets, both furry friends and children. Eleni is an excellent co-pilot in the car and would be happy to join you as you’re out and about. When she walks around she looks like a happy girl with a smile on her face. Eleni didn’t have the easiest life prior to coming to PPR, so she’s looking for a caring and compassionate home that will help give her the life of leisure she deserves. Eleni’s limited vision and hearing doesn't stop her from enjoying her days outside soaking up the sun, or being right by your side as you go about your day. She does need someone that will be committed for life to giving her daily meds for joint pain & allergies, and her medicated eyedrops. She also needs a family that’s okay with the fact that she might never be fully housetrained – she’s hit and miss with it and doesn’t mind relying on her “doggy depends” for help. Eleni is the perfect companion for someone who wants a quiet, friendly pet with good house manners. He may not see your face, but he can read your heart. Meet Fletcher, a 9-year-old, 15-lb Miniature Poodle and Bichon blend boy who doesn't know he has no eyes. Joyful, happy, sweet Fletcher loves everyone, including all dogs and even cats. He loves his life - whether it's leaning up against you when you watch TV or read or hanging out outside where he can get his smells on and do a little digging. Fletcher would remind you that vision is not the primary sense in dogs. If he can smell, taste, and feel you petting him, he’s a happy camper. He’s a laid back boy who is good on car rides, good on the leash and is the perfect quiet companion that just wants to be by your side....the perfect low maintenance pup. Fletcher loves to eat! He's so easy to love you'll want to spoil him, so you’ll want to help him keep his waistline in check. He can be your only pooch or live with another dog. Blind dogs benefit a lot from living with other dogs that can see - they use their partner as a guide to find their way around and strong bonds develop between them. Also, a one level home without stairs would be best suited for him so he can maneuver around safely. If this relaxed, carefree boy sounds like someone you’d like to snuggle with on your couch, we’d love to hear more about you and have you fill out an adoption application. When you wake up in the morning you are beautiful to me, even before your first cup of coffee. Why? Because I see you with my heart, instead of my eyes. Meet Gabby. Gabby is a 12-pound senior Miniature Poodle blend who is a sweet little lady just wanting to be loved. She didn’t have the easiest life prior to coming to PPR, and despite having lost her vision, she’s done nothing but blossom both physically and emotionally since being with her foster family. Gabby loves being petted and loved on, wagging her tail and even rolling over for belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and children as well. Gabby navigates the house and yard well and is very good at following by sound. She may walk into things but she bounces right off them and keeps going. This little sweetheart is happy just to be by your side and on her special blanket that she settles down on when she’s relaxing. Gabby has done very well with house training and learning to stay in her kennel quietly when her foster goes out for awhile. She loves to eat and is still learning that not all food is hers, so she eats in the privacy of her own area when it’s dinnertime. Not any different from any of us getting older, Gabby will need to be on a couple of medications for life - she needs daily medicated eye drops and prescription allergy medication. Also, a one level home without stairs would be best suited for her so she can maneuver around safely. She’s a 4-year-old, 10-lb sweet and happy Miniature Poodle girl who is ready to be your best companion. Initially Layla is bashful but she warms up when she feels comfortable. She’s a sensitive little girl who, once she feels safe, is very loving. She loves being petted and having her back scratched. She follows her person around but isn’t a velcro dog. She gets along with other dogs and is best around small dogs. She can be your only pooch or be in a home with other small dogs. She plays with her foster fur sibling, chasing balls with him, playing tug of war and playing with toys, which she really likes. Ideal for a family with older children, this little princess would be the perfect companion for a family who wants a calm, friendly pet with good house manners. Deep down, he's a very gentle, quiet, and attentive dog. Maxwell's favorite thing in the whole wide world is playing with his dog buddies. He loves the company of other large, playful dogs - especially females. Together with his dog buddies, Maxwell loves to fectch, role in the grass and play tag. Tilly is a 9-year-old, 62-pound Blue Tick Coon Hound girl. Our silly Tilly is such a sweetheart! Tilly originally came to us as part of a hoarding case, where she was locked away in a crate for most of her life. Now we are happy to say that Tilly has traded her crate for a cozy spot on the couch. She is loving her new life lounging on the coziest dog beds! Tilly is a happy-go-lucky girl. She enjoys going for leisurely walks, or roaming around the backyard, exploring wherever her hound dog nose takes her. Tilly recently discovered the joy of playing with dog toys. She now cannot get enough of little squeaky toys and it is so cute to see her getting all excited. The way to Tilly’s heart definitely includes food. She recently had a dental cleaning, where we had to extract several of her teeth, but that has not diminished her appetite. Tilly can still eat kibble and you will never hear her say no to any treat you offer her. Bananas are her favorite snack in the world. Tilly gets along very well with other dogs big or small, as long as they respect her space. She is never aggressive, but may get vocal if they come up to her too quickly. Sweet Tilly is mostly housetrained, however she does tend to have to go to the bathroom quickly after eating, so you will just have to make sure mealtime is quickly followed by a pottybreak. Tilly is a mellow, loving lady who is looking for a cozy place to enjoy her golden days. Tilly has completed heartworm treatment, is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and recently had her teeth polished. Her adoption donation is $250. show less

Tyson is a 10-year-old, 6-pound Chihuahua boy. Quirky little Tyson had a rough past, but has settled into his PPR foster home quite well. He was a terrified, nervous Chihuahua when he came into PPR’s care, but now he’s become a well adjusted, silly, loving little guy, full of personality and “spice” as his foster dad likes to say. Tyson is good with other dogs and cats, but he’d be perfectly content being your one and only, too. He has bonded very closely to his foster dad and has quickly become his loyal companion. He has a cute waddle when he walks and when he wags his tail, his entire chubby rear end wags with it. Tyson is completely house broken and doesn’t get into things around the house. He loves to dig into his blankets and beds and burrow under covers. Tyson also loves being pet, massaged and scratched up and down his back and neck. If Tyson feels threaten by other dogs or scary people, he can react defensively, so he would be best suited for a dog savvy adopter that can further build his confidence. Tyson loves sweet talk, affection and attention and if you’re sitting down and ignoring him, Tyson will see to it that you pick him up by “talking” and making all kinds of funny noises. Tyson would be best suited for a kid-free home. Tyson rides like a perfect gentleman in the car and loves to explore his backyard with his foster siblings, looking for lizards and feeling the sunshine. He’s a good eater and he’s very food motivated so if you’re cooking, don’t you worry, Tyson will be right by your side to make sure the kitchen floor stays clean if you drop anything. Tyson has some skin allergies and takes a daily pill to keep his skin and coat in good shape. Tyson is housetrained, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and just had his teeth polished. His adoption donation is $200. show less
