Meet Mollie Beth! Miss Mollie is finally ready for her forever home. Mollie is a beautiul German Shepherd mix born 07/01/2017, she was surrendered to us at no fault of her own alongside two other wonderful pups. Mollie is charismatic and social as can be, she loves making new friends of all shapes, sizes, and ages. She loves every new dog she meets, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any. She also adores children, and would make a wonderful fuzzy big sister to a home with kids. We have not yet tested her with cats. Mollie is very smart, she knows her name, and many basic commands. She loves going for walks, and being brushed makes her very happy.  When she came to us, Mollie had a mass on her belly we suspected to be mastitis. She underwent surgery and had this removed, and thankfully testing showed it was nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, she had complications healing from her initial surgery, which extended her recovery time by nearly two months. She endured daily treatments and cleaning of her surgery site, and was as patient as can be with her caretakers through the whole process. Mollie is truly a very special girl, and our one on one time during her recovery let us see exactly how wonderful she is.  Mollie is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $175, and we may require a home visit for her potential adopters.  Interested? Give us a call at 615-446-7387.  show less

Meet Navy!  Navy is so eager to find her forever home! This sweet little girl is a hound mix and her estimated date of birth is 05/01/2020. Miss Navy came in from our hoarding case of nearly forty dogs we took in early 2022. Every dog we took in from this case was extremely malnourished, their teeth were worn from foraging for their food among gravel, and nearly hairless. Their hairlessness was caused by a non-contagious form of mange called Demodex, which is caused by malnutrition. They went through several months of weekly medicated baths to clear their skin, and we are proud to say they are all now furred up and ready for their forever families. Due to the situation they came from, none of these pups ever had any interaction with people before coming into our care, and some can be very shy and scared. We have been diligently socializing them, and they are making huge progress!  Navy, however, took to people like a fish to water. Although new faces can intimidate her for a moment, she took no time deciding that she loved being in the company of our staff and volunteers here at the shelter. In fact, she is so social we have begun to use her to help us socialize other shy dogs! She also LOVES all kinds of company, she is amazing with dogs, cats, and kids! In fact, she loves other doggies so much that she would adore if she had another friend in the home. As always, we do require a meet and greet for all our puppy pals to make sure they all get along. Navy also requires a fenced-in yard to ensure she is kept safe and sound. Unfortunately, due to the situations she was raised in, Navy has a long-term medical condition. When you see her you will notice her eyes are very cloudy, which is because she has chronic ocular pressure, or pressure in her eyes. While maintained with medications, this issue should bother her in her day-to-day. She will need to remain on medicated eye drops twice daily for the rest of her life.  She is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175.  If you are interested in our sweet Navy baby, call us at 615-446-7387 to set an appointment! show less

Meet Nemo! Hi, my name is Nemo. But my friends call me Neems, goober, goofball, and crazy boy! When I came in, I was so hungry, and they all told me I was way too skinny. They gave me some food, and dang did it feel good to eat! They said my breed is 'pitbull', and they gave me a birthday too! Not that any of that matters to me, I'm just happy to have so many friends!  They told me that they're trying to find me my very own family, can you believe it? It must be wonderful to have a place to call home. Some things about me are I love toys, stuffies, and anything to chew. Snacks are a must, but don't come near my food bowl unless you want me to get grumpy, I’m still learning to share. I love running, jumping, and exploring, but more than anything else I LOVE playing in the water! Sometimes my friends will bring me outside and turn on a sprinkler just so I can bite the water and play. Others dogs are so fun, I wouldn't mind a new furry brother or sister at all! I'm not sure what a "kid" is, but they sound like fun. Would you help me find my forever family? Nemo is 46 lbs, fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. A meet and greet is required if you have any other dogs, and he is not yet cat tested.  Interested? Call 615-446-7387 show less

Meet Prince! This handsome guy came to us in March of 2021. When he was brought to us, he was very underweight, and had many bumps, bruises, and scratches from his previous life. Shortly after his arrival, he was tested and found positive for heartworms. Prince started his heartworm treatments in early March, and after six months of difficult treatment, we are happy to say that he is now healthy, negative, and ready for his forever home.  Prince is estimated to have been born in 2015, and is a lab mix. Now that he is cleared, he loves nothing more than to play! Although he may be approaching his senior years, now that he is healthy and well cared for, he has a brand new peppy outlook on life. He loves to run around and play with his friends, but his favorite thing to do is definitely to chew and chase tennis balls.  Prince loves to be outdoors and would be thrilled to have a big yard to run around and play, after all there are so many good things to smell and explore! He is also mature enough that he would love to have a person to call his own to relax with at the end of a long day. Although we always require a meet and greet, Prince is always open to meeting a potential new doggy friend! He does good with kids, too, and would be happy in a home with them. Unfortunately, he thinks cats are just another kind of toy, so he is best suited to a home without them. One of our favorite things about Prince, is that he loves to snatch his blankets off his indoor bed to take outside so he can enjoy the sun while he naps. Upon adoption, Prince will also require a year supply of our heartworm prevention for us to ensure he will not go through heartworms again. Prince is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered, and it is $150 for his heartworm prevention. Want to come meet this happy guy? Call 615-446-7387.  show less

Meet Sinbad! This big ball of fun is looking for his forever family. Sinbad came to us as a stray in early 2022 and was never claimed. We estimate his birthday to be 04/01/2021, and he is a gorgeous yellow labrador retriever mix. If you get the pleasure of meeting him, you may notice some scars on his rear legs. Though they were already mostly healed when he came to us, the marks can only lead us to speculate what kind of life this handsome guy had before. If you watch Sinbad interact with our staff, you get to see him be relaxed and as goofy as can be. He loves to play chase, wrestle, play tug with his favorite stuffies, and run around with his friends here. With new people, however, Sinbad tends to become very shy and unsure. We suspect however his life was before the shelter left him with some unfortunate fears and habits. It takes him a few extra minutes and reassurance from a familiar face to relax and open up to new faces, but once he does you're in for a treat. He is such a smart boy, too. He is walking better on a leash all the time, knows the "sit" command, and responds to both his name and his nickname "Sinny Binny". Sinbad is highly food motivated, he loves lunchtime and treats more than anything. He gets so excited to chow down that he gets the privilage of eating almost exclusively from slow feeders and puzzle bowls. He is still learning to take treats gently, but can catch them midair like a pro. Sinbad does great with other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any. He requires a cat-free home, as they remind him of his favorite toys (stuffed animals). Because of his rough play style and slow-to-trust nature, we reccomend without any young kids either.  Sinbad is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered, with an adoption fee of $175. We require his forever home to have a fully fenced in yard, minimum of 5ft. Due to his tentative nature with new people, we require around three meetings with Sinbad before he is able to go home.  Interested in this loving guy? Call us at 615-446-7387 to set an appointment to meet him.  show less

Meet Sirena! Looking for a loving little cuddlebug to add to your family? Look no further than our baby girl Sirena. Miss Sirena came to us as a stray who was sadly never claimed, and although she was in rough shape, she showed us instantly how angelic she could be. She immediately let us know she loves nothing more than snuggles and kisses from new friends, and by golly she is an A+ cuddler. We estimate her birthday to be around April 2nd of 2019, and she is a beautiful white pitbull terrier mix. The other thing our whole team knows her for is her voice, which we named her for. When she gets very excited, or a little too lonely, Sirena will eagerly sing the song of her people. Her lovely tunes will steer away even the worst of your blues, and her over the top loving attitude will help that right along. Sirena is also fairly playful, too, and she's known to enjoy a good running session around our play yard. We think she would do great in a home with kids for her to love all over. However, she thinks cats are just another toy, so a kitty-free home is a must, she enjoys the company of other dogs but as always a meet and greet is mandatory. Sirena showed signs of having been hit by a car in her distant past, and didn't heal properly. This caused her to have both ACLs tear in her legs, and she has gone through surgery and recovery to have this corrected. Although she is now fully recovered, Sirena now has arthritis in her rear end. It typically doesn't bother her, and is mild enough she is medically cleared to not even require daily pain medications, however excessive use of her legs will cause her pain and discomfort. We require a home without stairs for this sweet girl.  Sirena is fully vetted, microchipped and spayed, with an adoption fee of $175. Interested? Meet Spanky!  You'll never meet a fella so peppy and full of life. Spanky is a stinkin' cute guy, he is a Bull Terrier mix, which you can see in his sweet round face. We estimate him to have been born in late 2018, but this guy is still full of youth. He came to us originally as a stray, and he was wearing a collar that was so tight it made his breathing hoarse. Despite the discomfort he was in, Spanky is incredibly friendly and loves almost everyone he's met since! He is so outgoing, and gets thrilled when someone gives him love. Spanky has been working on basic commands in his time with us, and is currently learning 'sit' and some better leash manners. Like most pups, he loves a good treat, but the real way to his heart is through toys! If you want to get specific, squeaky toys rock his world. Spanky could keep himself entertained for hours and hours with a good squeaker. He is a tough chewer, though, so we reccomend more durable ones like rubber toys. Spanky will make a great addition to the right home, and his perfect family would love to play with him all day long. Spanky is gentle enough to be good with kids too. He is best suited to be an only pet. Spanky is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. He weighs roughly 60lbs. Interested in this cute guy? Meet Squeaklynn! This pretty girl is ready to find her forever home! This poor girl was brought in as a stray and was sadly never claimed. Miss Squeaky is a beautiful pittie mix who weighs approximately 38lbs and her estimated date of birth is 11/01/2020. This little firecracker is the life of the party! Squeaklynn is a very outgoing  girl who absolutely loves her squeaky toys, which may or may not have anything to do with her name! She is very hyper and will do fantastic with adopters that can her busy! On top of her spunky personality, she has so much love to offer behind those big brown eyes! Squeaklynn is excellent on a leash and knows basic commands like "sit" and "speak" and is super treat motivated! This sweet girl is absoulutely amazing with other dogs, cats, and children! With children they need to know how to handle her, when she does become excited she will become mouthy without any agression behind it, and that can be fixed with proper correction! Squeaklynn loves other dogs so much that we reccomend having another buddy in the home with her! As always we do require a meet and greet for any other dogs that would like to meet her! Squeaklynn would love to run and play with you all day long! Will you give her the chance? Squeaklynn previously tore her ACL, and has had surgery to repair it. She is fully healed and doing great, but excessive running and jumping may cause her some aches and pains in that leg. While she doesn't have any true restrictions, we recommend a home without a lot of stairs.  Squeaklynn is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. Adoption Fee: 175  If you are interested in the beautiful Squeaklynn call 615-446-7387 to set up an appointment. show less
