She is a Jack Russell Cattle Dog mix weighing in at 15 pounds. She is shy and reserved until she gets to know you. She will need a home where you can give her the time and space she need to settle in and adjust. She will hide for a few days until she learns your a safe place. Faith has had a rough past and struggles a bit until she is settled. She was a stray who almost starved to death when she was caught and taken to the shelter. She did great in her foster home. She was adopted and thrived in their home for a few months but then she got out of their vehicle at a shopping center off a highway in their town. They were not out looking for her or putting up fliers. We made the 2 hour drive to go catch her and get her to safety before she was killed on the highway. They then decided they no longer wanted her. That puting her in a crate or tethering her when in a vehicle was to much for them. So she is back to being a scared cowering pup who hides in the back of her kennel. She is good around smaller male dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. Faith is scared of big dogs and and female dogs so she would not do well in a home with them. Faith prefers not to share her food with another dog. Faith is housebroken and crate trained. She must have a fenced in yard. It is best for her and she does her best as an only dog. She totally comes out of her shell and is glued to her person. She enjoys short walks.  She is up to date on shots, rabies, dewormed, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. To adopt this sweet little gal go to CanineHavenRescue.org under available adoption tab. Her adoption fee is $300 show less

These 13 beautiful pups were born in rescue. Their mom was a stray in Louisiana. She was caught and taken to the local shelter. We got her to Indiana and started her vetting. While she waited for her scheduled spay appointment she was getting a very big belly. We took her to the vet for xrays to confirm our suspicions. In fact she was very pregnant with a large litter. We monitored her hormones so we could do a c-section. We did not feel it was safe for her to deliver on her own. She had a total of 14 pups. At 4 weeks of age Iris was done with being a mom. She no loger would feed them or wanted anything to do with them. She stepped on one of them resulting in a emergency vet trip. Sadly that little girl did not make it. We moved Iris away from the pups as they were eating on their own.  Iris has been adopted and is in a home of her own now. The pups are 9 weeks old and ready for their forever homes. They have had age approciate shots, dewormings, and microchipped. They have spay and neuter appointments scheduled the week of July 5th at our vet in Fort Wayne, Indiana. If adopted before that date adopter must bring the puppy to its scheduled appointment. The adopter will also be responsible to take the puppy to their own vet within 3 weeks for their rabies shot. These pups are litter trained using puppy litter. They enjoy spending time in the play yards. They are defiantely diggers so we let them play in the puppy sandbox. They will need a home where someone is home most of the time to get them started on potty training. They will need a family that has a fenced in yard. Adoption fee is $350 show less

Olive is an adorable shy little gal. We received a call to catch a stray dog that was severly emaciated out in the middle of nowhere by some woods. So after 3 hours on scene, we were finally able to catch her. It was obvious that she had pups recently. We walked her around looking and searching for puppies. No pups were found. We took her right to a vet to see what they thought. He thought that pups had already been weaned, and someone dumped momma. We took her home and got her settled for the night.  The next day we had to go pick up dogs out of town. Before we left, we spent time with Olive. We did her shots and loved on her. But something in her eyes said something was off. Four hours into our trip, we called the neighbor to go get her and our 25 ft lead. We told her exactly where to take her. We just felt there were puppies out there. We also called for others to go help search. When Olive got out of the vehicle, she took off running. She led them right to where her 4 tiny pups were hidden way up inside a brush pile. The pups were only about 48 hours old and had been without mom for 24 of that. Everyone was fine and the pups have homes of their own. Now its Olive's turn for a forever home where she will be loved and not thrown out like trash. She is good with other dogs big and small. She is also good with cats and kids. She is up to date on shots, rabies, and has been spayed. She is also microchipped and heartworm negative and on prevention. Her adoption fee is $300.
