Bernadette is wondering where oh where can her family be. She is a gorgeous girl who is 3 years old and weighs around 60 lbs. Bernie loves, loves, loves her people and can't get enough of being loved on.  She is somewhat picky and doesn't want to live with any other dogs or cats; however, she is POTTY and CRATE trained!  Bernie is a strong girl, so probably best in a home with children ages 8 and up since she can be a little mouthy at times. Bernie loves to go for long walks, stretch out in the grass and crawl.  If you are looking for a new dog to give a life of love to, please consider Bernadette.  ❤     The adoption fee is $250 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Buster is 2 yr old, 43 lb, fawn and black SharPei/Lab mix.  He is an extremely sweet boy and is getting more confident everyday at his foster home.  Buster prefers to have his peeps close by.  He does not mind being in a kennel because his foster ensures he has special enrichment to validate his space is a good, healthy thing but he would rather be right there by his foster mom while she types away doing whatever it is she does all day. He is good with other respectful dogs and is learning to do well around cats, they just smell kinda funny so he is not sure what to think of them just yet. Buster has been around older kids and did fine but has not had exposure to tiny humans as of yet. He is fully potty trained and has started with leash training but will need more time to be consistent.  Understandably, he was protective of his food at first but with time and continuous dependable meals, he now understands that he does not need to be; however, sometimes he just likes to focus on his food and asks the other dogs around him to let him be while he eats which is a reasonable request. Buster will be a great family pet and needs a loving family to give him the good life he deserves.  The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, please go to www.townandcountryhumanesociety.org and click Adopt.  Then scroll down to Online Application and select Dog Application.   Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Joey is a sweer 7 year old, 59 lb Lab Mix.  He is a kind, affectionate and attentive. Joey would fit in best to a house with a yard and plenty of loving people to keep him company. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained, I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, hunting little creatures..and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for the littles.  My foster family will give you 10 free nights of boarding for me when you adopt me. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.      The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, a neuter and a home training session. I used to have a family in Puerto Rico but they left me behind on the streets, that is when I met my Juliette. We survived together and I was her protector. The humans that brought us to Nebraska know this about me: belly rubs are the best thing ever, I love to go for walks and I am very good on leash, I know how to potty on the grass and you need to watch closely for my unexpected kisses!  If you meet me I promise I will melt your heart with my soft eyes. I love all humans and I must stay with my Juliette as I help her feel safe. We have an angel human who will pay half of our adoption fee so we can be together forever.
