hey there! I'm Kibbles! I’m just a laid back guy looking for a place to permanently lay down my dog bed. I’m a 7 year old intact Cairn Terrier. I’m currently crashing at a house with a foster family. They’re ok, but it’s a little crowded here. I do get along with the other 4-leggeds that were here before me, I will need another dog friend in my new home. And there are some two leggeds here that walk like 4 leggeds…. It’s strange but they’re cool too. I’m a good boy and even let them pet me. They have lots of toys here and I’ve found I like to run after them and bring them back. Never did that before! My tail even does this side to side “wag” thing when they come home from work now and I can’t help the need to run over and stand up on my back legs to say “welcome home!” They’re teaching me how to relax and have some fun outside a cage but I could use a permanent home to really settle into. Overall, I’m a pretty easy guy to get along with and happy with some company and a warm bed on the floor beside yours, but I’m gonna be honest, I’ve had a ruff past at that yucky mill. My foster family says I’m making fast progress but I am looking for someone patient and understanding that will take extra time to help me continue to learn to be a fun loving dog.  This pet is from the puppy mill in Kentucky. Please see info attached.   Please keep in mind that the last load from this puppy mill was very friendly. They of course need some help.  -These dogs have been living in cages together so they NEED another dog in the home.  -Since they have been living in a cage, they will most likely not be house trained.  -They most likely have no experience on leash. A fence is a plus, they would still need to be on leash in a fenced in area for safety until they are comfortable in their home. A fence is not required but a tip for getting them use to the leash and their safety is double leashing since they could be flight risks. -It will take a little time to warm up and learn how to be a dog. They will need patience when learning to live inside and learning to love.  With all this being said the last dogs we pulled from this mill were way better off than what we thought they would be. Each dog is different so it is hard to say.  If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less

Hi ,My name is Mae Mae. I live with my Mommy in a house with a fenced in yard. I Love to run and play catch with any kinda of toy you have. ( But I can’t guarantee that I will bring it back all the time) I do drop it when My Mommy ask me to. I think I’m a lap dog but most people don’t have a lap that big. I’m a big girl about 115 pounds and I’m very strong but I’m a big sissy. I’m a combination of Lab, Boarder Collie and Great Dane. So I’m tall. I eat dry dog food but I am willing to eat and kind of human food. ( When my Daddy would sneak it to me) I miss my Daddy Dearly. I Love Kids but around little ones it’s hard because I’m so big I knock them down. But I don’t mean to. I Love Teddy Bears. I sit, give my paw , softly bark and turn in a circle for treats. I was born on June 4th 2020. So my Birthday is Coming and I Love cake. My Daddy passed away and my Mommy and I are Heart Broken. My Mommy needs to find me a Wonderful New Home because where she is going won’t let me live there. This to is Breaking Her Heart. I hope You can help me find a Wonderful family. I am UTD with all my shots, I wear a siresto collar.  I’m sending some pictures so you can see how beautiful I am. I also get along with other dogs and I Love People. I’m curious.about cats but never lived with them. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less

Wakanda Forever!   We're nine warriors hoping to find our forever tribe to defend! We'll be eight weeks old and ready to leave Queen Ramonda. Our Queen was found wandering and so we don't know too much about our history, but we know the Queen appears to have some border collie. Not much is known about our King, but he must have been a fearsome warrior because our largest brother, M'Baku,  is on track to weigh 112 pounds as a full grown adult (but most of us are predicted to be in the 70-80 pound range). We guess that M'Baku looks the most like our King, who may have had some Rottweiler in him. We are a spirited group who play hard and are resilient (our sister Riri has already overcome a bout of pneumonia). We can’t wait to join our new tribe! And we may be royalty but no need to bow… We don’t do that here. This is Mutt! He is a 1 year old lab/terrier mix weighing only 41lbs. He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children! He is so full of energy and loves toys, he needs a little bit of leash training but he is super smart and it won't take him long to catch on. He has been in the shelter since June 2022.    Hi! I'm Buddy. The people at the shelter were calling me Mutt 👎. I am SO grateful my foster parents changed my name, though, because I want to be YOUR buddy. I am 1 year old and weigh about 40 lbs. I'm told I'm part lab, part terrier. I think I’ll make a great swimmer one day. You should see my webbed paws! I haven't seen a lot in the world because I have been living in a kennel most of my life! It's so fun to explore outside. I LOVE walking on a leash and am very good at going potty outside as long as you take me regularly. (I've never peed in my foster family's house!) When I first got here from an awful Kentucky shelter, I was completely starved and couldn't think about anything but food. So much so, my foster parents thought I may have vision loss 😢. But, in just a few days with a fuller belly, I am able to focus on my people, toys and I even learned to "sit".  My foster pup brother is really fun and I like to play with him sometimes, but I am still mostly concerned with gaining weight and getting healthy. I’d rather just chill on the couch with a bully stick. 😜 If you want a gentle, sweet pup to teach new tricks and cuddle with (my foster family says I'm the softest doggy ever), I'm your guy. And as a bonus, I'm crate trained (if you need me to be) and do great with kids. My current foster family has three of them! And I love to greet them with a hug at the bus stop. ❤️ I am looking forward to starting a new life with just about anyone who has the willingness to love on me. And keep my belly full! 😛 show less

If you’re looking for an active and cuddly little terrier, this is your little lady!   Natalie is an adventurous Cairn Terrier who was used as a breeder from a puppy mill.  Natalie is around 7 yrs YOUNG and a little chubby around 20 lbs.  She can be bossy to other dogs and would do great with laid back dogs that will gently correct her bossiness!  She’s a cuddle bug and always has a wagging tail.  Needs to have lots of opportunity to sniff around outside and is still learning to walk on leash.  This pet is from the puppy mill in Kentucky.
