Hey everyone. Blue here. Good to see you again. Didn’t think I’d be here, but life is funny sometimes. There were some misunderstandings early on with my first adopters. I showed a little food aggression around the kids, but I have been working on it and have had no issues with my foster family. They all take turns feeding me by hand, even the kids. I have learned to be so gentle. Our evening potty break and cosequin time has become a challenge to see who can be the most gentle. I usually get 2 out of 4. Not bad! I get along great with the dog pack. We take daily walks and I am learning to heel and walk with my trainer. I know that’s important as I am on the bigger side. I am a little over 60lbs at 7 months old. My fosters say I look like Dane and Husky, partially because of my stunning eyes, and massive paws of course, but we did a DNA test and it turns out I'm mostly lab, husky, and collie.  I am really behaving myself and learning the ropes of home life, I even get to go outside through a special little door all on my own now! I love just hanging out with my foster mom while she works all day. I sleep next to the bed at night and never even try to get on the furniture, unlike the other bad dogs in the house. I’ve learned to play tug and love running around with my pack outside. I have a deep bark, but rarely use it. I sit and place with the best of them. I really am eager to please. My foster mom says she would keep me if they weren’t at the dog limit. Limits?!? That’s crazy. So I need a place to go. A place that is ready for a big pup, and maybe one that doesn’t have smaller children. A stable calm environment is my place to be. Can you help me out?  Apply at michelesrescue.com show less

I’m Divine. That’s not just my name, but describes me too. Except I don’t yet know just how beautiful I really am. And that’s because I had a hard start at life, and have not experienced much kindness. Even so, I have not lost my sweetness and trust in people. I love attention, and will likely be a pretty cool lap cat. Although I am definitely a lady, sometimes I let my guard down and drool a little when I am being pet, which my foster mom thinks is hilarious. (Let’s just keep that between you and me though). I am about 2 years old, and generally a laid back, chilled out cat. When I arrived at the rescue, I had a chin injury, but it’s healing very well. I am also FIV positive, but that doesn’t mean I can’t live a normal life, or with other animals. If you are looking to give a beauty like me a second beginning, I’m your girl. Apply at michelesrescue.com Devine was recently diagnosed with FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus), a disease that affects the immune system of cats. With proper vet care care, she can live a long life. If you are interested in adopting Devine, please do research on the condition and have a conversation with your veterinarian.   You can read more here: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus show less

This plushy, 1 year old prince is Mr. Big.  He was found as a stray and brought to the rescue back in November.  He is one of our longest residents and we're continuing our search for his people.  When he came to us, he did not do well with being restrained in the cattery, and he did not do well with other kitties.  His foster mom has worked with him for many weeks, slowly pushing his boundaries, and he's made amazing progress. He has gone from a cat that would do little but look out a window, to one that  actively seeks out pets and play time with his foster mom.  He absolutely loves his felt fishy wand, temptations treats, and wet Sheba cat food.  He rewards his foster mom with lots of chirps and body contact.  He's still a little leery about being held, but if you start with the two hand body scritches, he'll happily stay put for the duration. Initially, we recommended that he be an only cat, but with slow introductions (over 3-4 weeks preferably), he has shown that he could be accepting of other, respectful cats as long as he has a place to retreat too if he gets overwhelmed.  If he does, he just needs time by himself and then he's ready to rejoin everyone.  His foster mom has 5 other kitties (both male and female) in the house, and he interacts with some better than others. His foster mom even seen him trying to initiate play with one of the younger males.  We still do not know how he does with dogs. We do still recommend a quieter house without small children. He uses the litter box well and his foster mom has not had any issues with territory marking even though there are other male cats in the house.  His perfect person will be someone who can show him patience as he gets used to his new home and people. He an incredibly sweet boy and is a wonderful cat. Apply at michelesrescue.com show less
