Rachel is approximately 14 weeks old.  She is a terrier/Chih mix who came to Paws with her sister and mom. Rachel is currently living with 2 big foster siblings and her sister.  She takes cues from all 3, and would do well in a home with a confident dog.  Rachel was very scared and timid when she first came into foster.  She will need a little more time to come out of her shell.  But she is learning to trust more each day.  She loves to play and run...and is very fast.  Rachel would love a family that will make sure she gets lots of exercise.  She is spayed, UTD with her vaccinations, and working on potty training. Meet Randy!  Randy has been seeking his forever home for a long time!  Randy was brought into foster as a skinny stray and has made tremendous strides since being placed in foster care.  Randy has put on weight and begun to enjoy the comforts of having a home.  Although Randy is approximately 12 years young, he still has a lot of spunk left in him and really enjoys going for walks and playing in the yard.  Randy does have some arthritis as does any pup his age so he does need minimal steps but has gotten a lot stronger over the last months.  Randy is house broken and doesn't need to be crated when left at home. Roscoe is an 85 lb, 4 year old Dane, Shepherd, Boxer mix. His foster family also calls him part tiger because of his beautiful brindle coat. He is a very sweet big boy who enjoys scratches and stiting with his humans on the couch or at their feet. He came to us because he was surrendered to a shelter and we just can't understand why anyone wouldn't want this big cuddle bug. He greets his people when they come home with a whole butt wag with is little nubby tail! He is great with kids and other dogs and doesn't pay any attention to cats. Due to his size, he may be best suited for larger children, only because he could accidentally bump little ones over, but he is very gentle when greeted by smaller children. He gets excited for a walk and will pull a bit at first, but settles down and walks very nicely after just a minute.  Roscoe does not like a crate and has managed to escape from every type he's been in. He is well behaved when left unattended in the house- as long as all the snacks are put away (he helped himself to some snacks from the open pantry at his foster house!) He is potty trained but will need monitoring for his queues that he needs to go out because he's a little nervous and out of sorts in his new surroundings. Roscoe can sit and lay down, will heel on a leash and is learning to catch a treat. He also reluctantly allows his foster family to wipe his muddy paws when he comes in from the yard by laying belly up! He does seem to have a slightly misshaped tongue, which leads to some dribbling when he drinks water, but it doesn't seem to bother him and he lets his foster family wipe his face when he's finished.  If you can give this super lovable big guy the home he deserves, apply for Roscoe! show less

Sally, aka Sally O'Malley, aka Sally Sweetie is a sweet, shy and loving gal who has been working hard to come out of her shell. Though she depends on her brother Oscar to lead the charge in adventures, she still enjoys a good scratch on her head or back and will enthusiastically play with her toys. She has the sweetest face, and a humble and gentle personality. She is bonded with her brother, Oscar, and they would do well in a home where they can continue to be loved on and blossom into the curious, silly and loving kitties they are.  show less

Scampi is a 6 month old, 15 lb. Jack Russell Terrier mix.  He didn’t have a great start in life having grown up in a shelter but he’s learning the ropes with help from his foster family.  He is full of puppy energy and loves to run and jump and play with any toy!  He is a puppy, so he’s still working on crate and potty training.  He does very well alone in his crate when his people need to leave.  He can be timid until he warms up to you.  He is good with other dogs and is learning to play with them.  Unsure about cats but would likely be ok with them.  He loves to cuddle up and gives the best tiny puppy kisses.  Scampi would do well with a patient younger single person or family who will continue with his training.  show less

Scoot (male) is part of a bonded pair with Jessica (female).  They were found living in a crate for 4 years in poor conditions.  When PAWS initially got them they were incredibly scared and stressed.  After several months of loving care these two cats have thrived.  Scoot is now an affectionate cat that will climb right onto your lap to be pet, grooming you along the way.  He is playful, happy, and ready for his forever home!    show less

I was born in a house where two cats had kittens around the same time, but the young mama refused to feed hers. So my amazing "mom," Oreo, nursed all 10 of us! Our owners tried to take care of us, but we were starving and covered in fleas. Mama was feeding us as best she could but needed help. So we were surrendered to Paws. Now we are all cured of fleas, eating food like crazy, spoiled rotten and even mama is living her best life with us. As for me, I'm a male, 4-month-old black and white spotted cow. I am on the calmer side, but love playing with toys, wrestling with my siblings, and love chilling and playing around on our cat tree. I am super sweet to everyone I meet! Storm is, despite her name, a temperate delight. So sweet and easygoing, she loves to snuggle, play with her sisters, and amuse her foster family with her curiosity and playfulness. She’s about four months old and was rescued from a very bad situation. One of her eyes is damaged from infections, but she sees very well and has no trouble getting around. Storm is a talker, letting you know with little meows when she’s in need! Great with kids, dogs, and other cats. The one thing she hates is being alone - and with her close bond with her sister Apple, that’s rarely a problem! Storm gets anxious if left by herself, and she and Apple rely on one another for comfort when their people are busy. They’ll play and wrestle for hours - and follow it up with naps.  show less

Meet Tilly!  She's a super sweet 3 yr old girl who is waiting for someone special to share her love with.  She's a shy kitty who relishes her quiet pet sessions where you'll find her purring and turning on her back and generally being adorable to keep those pets coming!!    When Tilly came into rescue she was very afraid and hid tucked away in her bed.  Over time, she has made some giant leaps.  First she began accepting pets from inside her bed.  Then she began poking her head out of her bed waiting for her daily doses of love.  Now her foster family hears her beckoning with her demanding meows for her morning love.  Tilly will need some time and patience to adjust to a new home. She needs a home where she will be the only pet and with older children, and that will allow her to adjust at her own pace.  Her foster home has plenty of action going on, but also provides her with the space and quiet spots she needs to feel her best and build a trusting bond.   When that bond is formed she has so much love to share.   She also loves to play and her favorite toys are balls that she will decimate during her nightly play time. Hi, I'm Toulouse! I come from royalty as my mom is a royal princess! I'm around 7 months old and came into rescue with my mom and 2 siblings when two wonderful families fed us until they could get us off the streets! I was pretty shy at first but I gained trust and now love to rub my foster mom's chin and lay on her lap (and sometimes her shoulder)! She tells me I purr so loud and how adorable my cute little face is! I hope someone with patience will adopt me as I am new to all of this living indoors and new people but I sure love it so far! Meet Willow!! Willow is a 2 year old Catahoula/Australian Shepherd Mix. Miss Willow has been in the foster system for some time now searching for her perfect home. She is medium size, weighing in at 42 pounds. She would like a fenced in yard so that she can run and play as needed (she loves tennis balls though she doesn't always return them). After playing she is happy to just cuddle up with you on the couch and sleep between her people. She also knows her commands (come, sit, down, back it up, leave it, and bedtime). She prefers to be the only dog in the house. She tolerates children, however she is a herding dog and may see small children are something in which she can herd. She is crate and house trained as well as spayed and UTD on all vaccines. Someone whom is home more often than not would be a perfect companion for her. She enjoys walks and hikes and does very well on a leash. She is not fond of loud noises (vacuum, hair dryer, garbage disposal etc.) and does not like city noise, suburbs are fine. Woodford (Woody) is a 4 month old Airedale Terrier/Lab mix, weighing about 20 lbs. Little did he know he would go from being abandoned and running the mountains of Kentucky to meeting Nickelback in Pittsburgh! He especially liked meeting Chad and Mike Kroeger before the show! He loves to run which is pretty funny given his very long legs flopping around! He loves a good cuddle and playing with his toys. He is doing very well with crate and house training and has not had accidents since kept on a good consistent schedule in the foster home.
