Are you looking for a pocket sized shepherd dog with amazing house manners? Look no further! Gypsy is a beautiful, 3 year old GSD mix that demonstrates many traditional GSD characteristics: loyal, steady, smart, training-oriented, and prone to ultra-silly-goober tendencies when relaxed.  This pup is a dream in the home. She's crate-trained, house-trained, and incredibly friendly and sweet to everyone she has met. Gypsy is decently food motivated and she has a very gentle mouth, making training time with her extra enjoyable! She's relaxing enough to start playing with her fosters and enjoys a tug rope, but can take or leave your fetch game, thanks.  So far, it seems Gypsy is a bit shy around other dogs, especially overly loud or boisterous ones. If she were to live with another dog, she'd need a meet and greet, and that pup would probably need to be a fairly dog-savvy dog themselves! As we continue to help her build confidence, we will keep her bio updated on her dog preferences.  She's done very well with the older children she's met, but does jump a bit, so we'd recommend older children while she works on this habit. Her shelter notes say she's good with cats, but we haven't had a chance to see this ourselves Works in progress: At the moment, Gypsy has approximately zero leash manners. However, given how trainable she's been in other situations, we have no doubt she will develop these skills quickly with a consistent, experiened owner that's committed to the task. She also currently loves a good couch/bed a bit too much for our liking, so she's still learning to sleep on her own bed, instead of the queen-sized guest bed she prefers :)  She has the merest hint of separation anxiety when either of her fosters leave the house, so for this reason (and many more), we highly recommend you continue crating her early and often. She does amazingly her crate, so this shouldn't be a problem.  Other notes: As her foster, we can't stress enough: this is an amazing pup. She's very trainable, very loving, and very silly. She will be an incredible companion to a loving adopter for many years. We'd encourage any adopter to continue training her, as she thrives with a bit of structure and it quells her anxious tendencies To borrow a line from Big Fluffy Dog Rescue – "If you ask me if she sheds, you can't have her." They're called German Shedders for a reason, folks :)  Apply to find out more about Gypsy today!  show less

Meet Iris! This happy, 70 lb. little girl is super sweet and friendly, and is all-around Miss Congeniality! She is good with people, kids, dogs, and cats. She's known for tail wagging, smiles, leaning in for lovin', and kisses. She can be shy when meeting people, but will be giving kisses in no time. She hasn't met a treat yet that she doesn't like, and is very gentle taking them from your hand. She is great in her crate, and will often hang out in there by choice, happily chewing away at her toys while you are cooking or cleaning or doing whatever you need to nearby. She walks well on leash, enjoying walks with lots of sniffs, and doesn't try to go after the local wildlife when they happen to cross our path. Iris found herself without a home at 6 years old due to a divorce. Unbelievable at her age, we know, but she is working on housetraining, which is understandable given this poor girl was kept outside at her prior home. She's doing really well, has greatly improved, and "tell's" us when she needs to go out by coming over, giving kisses, and wagging her tail (so cute!). She was the shelter favorite prior to coming into foster, if that tells you anything. If you are looking for a buddy who is low maintenance, laid back, just wants to be with you, and gets along with pretty much everyone, apply for Iris today, and give this girl the forever home she deserves! You'll be rewarded with a best friend and tons of love in return. You won't find a better companion. show less

I am Libby, one half of a sibling bonded pair.  We are ten years old, and spent our lives together with our prior owner who died suddenly, leaving us looking for out next forever home.  I am easy going and gentle, content to nap near my person.  Because I am so tiny, I feel safest when I am with my brother or my person.  I will follow Max and you everywhere until I get comfortable, and then I will just watch you from my comfortable bed.  I am not always sleeping though - when I get excited I want to spin in circles and play.  My favorite thing to do is relax, but I sometimes get bursts of excitement that send me spinning at your feet.  I am looking for a comfortable, quiet home, where I can nap through my days.  I am loyal and affectionate and can't get enough cuddles.  I get along well with other dogs.  I am much smaller (4 pounds) than my brother Max, so I like to make sure I am always with him.  I am not sure about little kids, but teenagers are fine.  I am not sure how I feel about cats, but with my calm energy my foster mom thinks I would do just fine. I am mostly housebroken, although I will have accidents when I am in a new place and don't know how to communicate my needs.  My foster mom keeps me on a schedule and I do very well.  But not perfect.   show less
