Did I mention sweet?  She has new goals of becoming a full time lap dog too! She loves being with her foster mom and is learning how to play with other dogs in her new family.  She gets a little nervous with fast movements towards her, so we thik that she would do better with an adult only home. Buffy Joe is a beautiful 3-year-old purebred Boston Terrier. And he is DNA certified. We recently received the results of his DNA test. Buffy had a difficult start in life and has been doing a great job learning new skills in his foster home! He didn't get much attention before and was starved for it. Now he's looking forward to his bright future with his new family. Buffy is a larger handsome Boston, weighing approximately 40 pounds. He doesn't like to be left alone for too long, so having a forever family who has someone home most of the time would be good for him. Also, someone active that would walk him for exercise or just spend time together. He loves other dogs and wouldn't mind having a furry brother or sister around. He loves older children and would do well with young adults. We aren't sure how he is with cats. Because of his size, he can play a little too hard for little ones. Buffy's new family would need to be a pretty energetic bunch! He loves to run in the fenced-in yard and is eager to learn more about the world. He knows a few basics like sit, paw, kiss, and cookie. He is learning more all of the time. He has been working very hard on housebreaking and will let you know when he needs to go out. Buffy loves to snuggle and lay in your lap while watching TV. A natural love bug! He is a beautiful boy and is loyal to his people. Adoption fee: $325   (plus $13 to register his microchip) Please call or email his foster parent Melinda for more information. Chloe Sunshine is a young, amazing female Pitbull looking for her forever home. We know Chloe is not the small smooshed-type face you typically find through a Boston Terrier rescue, but her beautiful markings sure do remind us of a Boston Terrier. She is a happy go lucky pup that just wants to cuddle with her human and play with her doggy friends. She loves to run around the fenced back yard and runs back to the house when called.  Chloe’s favorite place is under the bed covers between her foster pawrents. She is great with all other dogs she has met and just wants them to play with her immediately. She would benefit from being part of an active family since she loves to run. She is also content to just relax all day, but that may lead to zoomies in the bed at night!  The Basics Age: 4 yrs Weight: 63 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: Tends to get overly excited when first leashed to walk but quickly settles down. She also had a small benign tumor removed in October.  Likes/Dislikes  Toys: Likes all toys but can be possessive of them until she becomes comfortable with the other dogs. Other Animals: Great with other dogs. Untested with cats.  People/Kids: Loves everyone she meets. Johnny JoJo is an 8 yr old neutered male beagle/Boston terrier  mix approximately 36.5 lbs. JoJo is affectionate and friendly to people he knows. JoJo is in therapy dog training to help him be comfortable meeting new people and dogs and overcoming his reactiveness to sounds and motion. He is a quick learner and making good progress. Plenty of exercise helps manage his reactiveness especially to loud noise like fireworks. We have tried medication as needed and it is effective. He can be a bit clingy due in the beginning. He will whine, bark or howl for a few minutes when his person leaves the house, but then settles down. He does not get panicky or destructive, though crating him is recommended to be safe. Jojo gets along well with the other dog and the cat in his foster home but can be reactive at first to dogs he doesn’t know. He gets along well with calm non-reactive medium size dogs once he gets to know them but no small dogs in the home. He will happily keep your yard free of squirrels, rabbits and other critters. Johnny Jojo would do well as a single pet with someone that has energy to play ball and take long walks daily. Jojo is not food aggressive with people. He loves to snuggle on the couch with you. He snores softly in his sleep and chases lots of squirrels in his dreams. JoJo is UTD, heart worm negative, neutered,  microchip pending Crate Trained:  Yes. He rides well in a crate in the car. Potty Trained: Mostly, though he does tend to pee in the house when he is anxious and it has been 3-4 hours since he was out. He happily wears a belly band when he can’t be directly monitored. Dog Friendly: Depends on the dog Cat friendly: yes, but he does try to chase cats. Kid Friendly: no Fenced yard needed Yes show less

Meet our handsome, swashbuckling one eyed pirate boy, Michael Wayne. When he arrived in rescue, his left eye had been so severely traumatized it needed removal. Even with only one eye, he gets around just fine. His senses of smell and hearing make up for that lost eye!! Although he is a stubborn, strong little man, he is a bit insecure and starved for affection and attention. He is a little shadow man and will follow you everywhere and does not like to go outside or to be anywhere without you. He finds comfort sitting in your lap or being very close to you; being petted; giving and getting lots of kisses! He also loves his squeaky toys, playing fetch and tug of war. He enjoys bully sticks, yak sticks, and all kinds of fruits (except for grapes, of course) and vegetables, especially if they are frozen! The ideal home for him would be with someone that is home quite a bit in order to take him outside regularly to potty. Kids probably should be a bit on the older side because he still tends to jump up on you to get petting and kisses and lovin’! The Basics Age: 5 ½ years Weight: 33 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: He is not fully housebroken yet. (We are working on it). He does know to go on pee pads, but sometimes misses! He will pee inadvertently if he gets too excited or stressed. He wears a belly band at night. Crate-Trained: Hates it, but goes in if he needs to. Leash Skills: Loves walks! Pulls on leash somewhat, but is easily corrected. A harness is recommended for all Boston terriers. Likes/Dislikes Toys: Loves toys, fetch, tug of war, etc Other Animals: Not good with dogs (some, maybe)--plays rough which can be viewed as somewhat aggressive play.  Good with cats, but plays a little rough with them too. People/Kids: LOVES people and kids! Car Rides: LOVES! Separation: Has separation anxiety. Needs to be crated when left alone. Medical:  There was concern that Michael may need surgery to make his nostrils a little bigger and trim his soft palate in his throat as he snores and snorts like a lot of smushy-faced dogs. We were prepared to do that, but the veterinary surgical  specialist did not feel that surgery was warranted stating that Michael did not have stressful breathing nor exercise intolerance. Penelope Rose is a sweet and energetic Boston Terrier who loves attention. She loves to play and prefers to fetch her toys while you throw them, but will entertain herself as well. A fenced yard is a must as she loves to run and chase squirrels. When it is time to snuggle, Penelope just cannot wait to be under a blanket, and if necessary, she will drag them from sofa to chair to make her own bed. She will even snuggle up to her foster brothers for a good nap. We have found her sucking and kneading on toys (absolutely adorable). She likes a good walk, but a harness is a necessity, as she will pull if she sees a cat or squirrel. Penelope is the quintessential Boston, energetic, playful, and loyal. She has had some training and responds to her name and basic commands to sit, stay, and leave it. Meet Richard Cheech! Although his previous family reported his parents were full-blooded Boston Terriers, we recognize his build seems a bit different and he looks more like a Boston Terrier / Basset Hound mix. Cheech loves human interaction, is very gentle, and a great snuggler when inside. He also loves to run and chase anything outside, so a fenced-in yard is a must for him. He loves to steal toys from his foster siblings, and is very determined to keep them. He’s a good boy and not very vocal unless another dog is barking. He does not mind taking a bath, and if you have a lick pad with peanut butter on it, he will practically jump in the tub! Cheech is a sweetheart and will make a fantastic family companion.  The Basics Age: 1-2 yrs Weight: Just under 30 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: Good Medical: In his previous home, he was hit by a car, so he has a crooked jaw (that is adorable) and a slightly crooked front right leg. Neither slow him down or cause him any discomfort. He was previously treated for demodectic mange (not contagious to other animals or humans) and his hair is growing back in.  Likes/Dislikes  Toys: He loves to chase thrown toys, but will not bring them back. He will take them off, find a nice spot to relax, and start chewing on them, which he enjoys.  Other Animals: Gets along with other dogs, as long as they are not toy possessive. He shows interest in guinea pigs, but no aggression. Not tested with cats. People/Kids: Great with all! Car Rides: Good rider in the car. Separation: No separation anxiety.  Contact/Application Info  Questions? Sage Henderson is a spunky, silly boy seeking an active home with another fun-loving dog to pal around with! Sage is a jumbo-sized Boston Terrier, possibly mixed with Boxer, and will probably fill out a little more over the next few months. He is strong, muscular and a lover and leaner. Sage loves to snuggle after getting his exercise, and especially enjoys a warm, electric blanket to snuggle in.  Sage is incredibly smart, protective and playful. Sage is still learning and needs an owner willing to work with him on his basic manners (NOT climbing on top of the kitchen table, jumping, counter surfing, etc.), but he's very smart and responsive to verbal feedback.  He’d love to sleep in the human bed at night! He is fine in his crate, though needs to be convinced to get in with a treat and will ring bells at the backdoor if he wants to go outside. He figured out how to ring the bells with his nose within 24 hours of being at his foster home! He sits on command and is a very quick learner! Sage has excellent hearing and is easily startled by sudden noises. We think settling in at a home will help him feel more comfortable with the noises around him. The Basics Age: 1 yr Weight: 35 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: He loves to walk and is a great leash walker. Likes/Dislikes  Toys: Loves to play with pull toys, will toss them up to himself if no one else will play with him. Mildly interested in kiddos’ stuffed animals as toys. Can be easily redirected.  Other Animals: Does fine with male and female dogs at home. Wants to play rough! Needs a dog that will play with him - he loves to play the classic game of “Bitey Face” but can get a little over the top. Will use ALL furniture as jungle gym during raucous games of bitey face.  People/Kids: LOVES kids. Needs older kids that can handle his big paws and jumps and sloppy kisses.  Car Rides: Does fine in car! Needs to be crated/ buckled as he’s busy!  Separation: Does fine. Watches family leave from front door, and sometimes whimpers, but rebounds quickly. Needs to be crated when no one is home - he’s still a puppy! Contact/Application Info Questions? Meet Watson Doyle, a sweet senior French Bulldog with special needs. Watson has a unique swagger due to some mobility issues from arthritis and possibly an old injury to his right side. Even though he has limited vision, he gets around really well and doesn't bump into things. He seems to be able to see things that are close to him better.  Watson’s favorite times of day are naptime, mealtime, and bedtime. He loves back rubs and scratches. He doesn't mind being gently picked up and carried. He likes sitting with you sometimes but he's also mostly content to just be nearby in a dog bed. He can be vocal and will bark and howl occasionally. He may also whimper a little and wag his tail if he smells something tasty he’d like for you to share. As he's gotten more comfortable in his foster home, he’s started trotting to his foster mom when she gets home from an outing or when she’s got his food bowl ready. He’s such a special little guy that deserves to be pampered the rest of his life! The Basics Age: Estimated 8 - 9 yrs old Weight: 17 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes, but may have accidents if left alone for long periods or if he walks to the door a few times and no one notices.  Crate-Trained: Not desired, does better left alone in a gated space. Leash Skills: Does okay on a leash, but better to carry him long distances.  Medical: Has limited vision and requires Tacrolimus eye drops twice a day and artificial tear drops as needed. Takes Vetprofen for pain/inflammation twice a day. Has some sensitivity in his backend, especially around his tail. Recent labs were good. Had a growth removed that was hanging from his chest - our vet felt it was slow growing and of no concern.  Likes/Dislikes  Toys: No interest in toys or chewing bones Other Animals: Seems to like the company of other animals. He's living with several other dogs in his foster home and has sniffed at a few of them and wagged his tail but hasn't engaged much otherwise.  People/Kids: Sweet with all, but needs a typically low key home  Car Rides: Usually sleeps on car rides. Separation: May bark or howl if he's aware you're leaving or have left him alone. His foster family usually lets him settle in a dog bed before they sneak out of the house.
