01/10/20  We've really been stepping up our training game with this big guy and he's been passing all of his test.   We re-introduced him to children and he accepted them happily back into his life.  So, if you have children aged 10 and up we will now consider your home for him.   Bagpipe is a pretty easy keeper, he goes with the flow of things here at our home.   He is nervous while off of the property though and we will continue to work with him on that.    He met a new vet team last week and at the end of our visit he even gave out a few kisses.    He's really shaping up into the confident dog we knew was there.    No cats though as his prey drive for birds and squirrels is pretty strong.  He did meet a kitty at the vet and he was incredibly rude with her and then remained too focused on finding her again.    Apply to meet him today.        12/01 Bagpipe aka DASHY Doodle Doo checking in. I've really been learning so much in my foster home. I really have learned a lot from my pack mates here and I need a home with another dog to set me up for continued success. I'm a playful boy who's play style can be a little rough and rowdy at times but I'm also a supreme snuggler with my foster peeps and pack mates. NO YOUNG KIDS FOR ME - NO EXCEPTIONS. I just cannot handle them, as the last family allowed them to be too rough with me. I'm seeking a home with a fenced in yard and someone who won't take me out into busy public situations  I'm probably not going to be an aparment type of pup - I'm very vocal, true to my hound dog mix nature, and lot's of places don't appreciate the song of my people. While I can now handle meeting peeps inside my foster home the outdoor world is still too overwhelming for me. I also have a fear of trash trucks driving by me - silly right, but for me it's beyond scary.  Foster Momma says that I can over come this too with the right family.  I really would love someone who will continue my training with a professional or if they have the needed knowledge to keep socializing me in a safe manner, but it's not a deal breaker. Is that you??  10/19 Dash (Bagpipe) is still looking for a home that will provide him patience and guidance. This home must not have children in it. He does not like them. He also may not be an apartment type of pup. The hound dog mix in him likes to be quite vocal at times.  He is still a tad timid and will not be good in a busy environment setting. He is however, loving and goofy with his family and other dogs. If you can provide him with stability, patience and continued training then send in your application to adopt/meet him.  8/6/19 - Outgoing, spunky, sweet, athletic and loveable.... all of these words describe this pup.  He is eagerly awaiting his own home.  Foster homes are fun but forever homes are better.  Recently he got to hang out with one of his litter siblings and they had a blast.    Bagpipe (Dash) is a sweetheart.  He is housetrained, knows many tricks/commands and he's ready to move into your home/hearts. He's in a home with 7 other dogs of assorted sizes and is a friend to them all.  7/14/2019  Bagpipe (DASH) checking in.    He's been a wonderfully fun boy to foster.  He is sweet, mild mannered and now that he learned that visitors no longer pose a danger to him being abused, he's eager to meet more. This kid needs plenty of exercise as he's still a puppy in a big boys body.  No felines for him and no small children please.  One of his favorite games is "chase me".  He wants to have a toy and you chase him for it. He loves to retrieve balls in the yard as well.  He's completely house trained as well as crate trained.     5/30/2019 Through no fault of his own, Bagpipe is back in rescue again.  He's a large boy with a timid nature.  He's great with other dogs and is hoping but it's not a deal breaker - to find a home with another dog in it. He is crate trained, takes treats very gently from you and he's fun. He's goofy, loves to give out slobbery kisses and likes to be near his humans when they're home. He's been meeting all sorts of new people in foster and is becomming eager to meet more = is that you?  You can apply to adopt Bagpipe at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. show less

Becks is a beautiful white pooch with a lot of personality. She is a 5-year-old perky Pittie-girl with dalmatian-like spots on her ears (they're so cute!). Her ideal home would be an active one because Becks loves to have fun, fun, fun! This sweet girl just loves to swim. But there are few things Becks loves as much as playing ball. That is her absolute favorite! Just give her a tennis ball and you will see her smile. This beautiful girl is a very people-oriented dog and she loves children. When she finally takes a break from being her usual active self, she becomes a super snuggler. Loving you and having you love her is at the core of Becks. She loves with her whole heart. Having fun and loving you is what Becks is all about. She is housebroken and crate-trained and does well with basic commands. She is smart and food motivated, so a good treat will nudge her to excel at any given command. She is amazingly comfortable in the car and excellent on a leash.  Becks is a terrific best friend. Because she is so into her people, a home where she is the only pet would be ideal. That said, she does like male dogs who are laid back and let her take the lead role. A meeting between this beauty and any other dog in the home would necessary. No cats for this girl, though. Becks is a very sweet dog, and easy to love. Are YOU ready to open your home to Becks? You can apply to adopt Becks at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/.  show less

Eddie found himself alone at the emergency clinic in WV after being hit by a car. Unfortunately, his pelvis was injured but after spending some time recovering, the break has healed and he is getting around quite well now. He is ready to find his forever home! Now that Eddie is feeling better he has lots of energy! He might be over year old but he is still very much a puppy and will need help learning some manners. As you would expect from this breed mix, this guy really loves to work! He has mastered sit, and is working on "stay", "leave it", and "wait".  He's also learned to take his treats "gentle".  He's a quick learner!    Eddie's medium length tri-color fur and beautiful markings will make anyone fall in love with him! This 40-pound pooch is very sweet natured. Eddie is crate and house trained, good with kids (probably best with older kids) and loves to play with other dogs.  He is just looking for the perfect family to scoop him up and give him all their love! You can apply to adopt Eddie at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/.  Additional adoption criteria:  Any children in the home need to be 12+ years old. Additional medical information:  Because of how Eddie's hip was damaged, he will have a life-long limp, but that does not stop him in any way! show less

If you think Baby Yoda is cute wait until you see Marko.  Marvelous Marko is a  2 year old Pittie who weighs 42 pounds. He packs it all into a very compact package though, so when you see him in person, he is a lot smaller than you would expect. Think Scrappy Doo! He has a terrific looking Blue coat. Such a Handsome Boy with ears you need to see to believe.  Marko is a very loving boy who is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks great on a leash and loves car rides. This pittie is good with other dogs, both male and female, and kids. His foster home had two younger children. No cats for this guy, though. This boy is an active young dog who loves to play (he has even been paddle boarding!) and would do well in a home where he can get regular exercise. A home with a fenced yard would also be helpful to provide all the exercise this pittie-mix craves. Marko adores toys. He could chew on his various bones and balls all day. But more than anything he loves to snuggle and give kisses to the humans and dogs he loves. This boy is ready to find his forever home. Do you have a place in your heart and home for Marko? *Marko has a known intermittent limp that has been evaluated at Metropolitial Veterinary Hospital. As of now surgery is not needed. In the future if surgery becomes required Mostly Muttz will work with the adopter to have surgery arranged with one of our partner Vetranrians and the cost will be covered by Mostly Muttz Rescue. You can apply to adopt Marko at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. show less

Peach is a very unique, Special Needs lady who is about 2.5-years-old. She is believed to be some sort of Shepherd mix and she weighs 45 pounds. Peach is an extremely Sweet and Loving girl and she is great with kids, other dogs, and even cats but can be a little fearful and snappish with men. She rides well in the car and is a terrific dog. She is currently in a foster home with several other dogs and two cats. She is crate trained and finds comfort in her "home".  Gentle and smart she is great in a fenced-in yard. While she gets along with others she would love all of the attention.    Peach was born with a rectovaginal fistula with anal atresia. In more understandable language, she has no butthole and she poops out of her vagina. She has lived a very normal life with this condition, up until now, so we are fairly certain that she will be fine going forward.   Some rescues would not even consider placing a dog like Peach. We knew what a Love she is and so now she is here and ready to find her Forever Home. If you want to be the Special Place for this very Special Girl, Peach is READY. Peach will possibly do well in a home with a doggie door and fence. Please contact us with any questions. You can apply to adopt Peach at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. show less
