Abel is a healthy young altered male Dogo Argentino and we think he is 1-2 years old based on his friendliness and playful nature. He is extremely stunning and knows basic commands, crate trained, and walks on a leash. He has not shown being reactive or aggresive to other dogs but we recommend an owner with breed (or similar) experience as his strength and confidence is bigger than he is! Abel was found as as stray and thought to be dumped in a remote area of central Florida so we do not know much about his history. This boy is up to date on all his shots, heartworm, negative, and microchipped. Abel has shown to be friendly with meeting strangers, both men and women. We are unsure how how he is with children. If you are interested in Abel please email and fill out our online adoption application!

Lucy is a true gem! This darling girl absolutely adoresher humans, both big and small! She is currently in a home where her parents work too much, leaving Lucy understimulated and alone up to 16 hours a day. Lucy would thrive in a home with children and one or two other medium-large dogs. She doesn't do well with smalldogs and can take a bitto warm up to new dogs, but once she warms up, she loves to play. As with any dogo, Lucy is highly intelligent and loves learning new things, making her highly trainable. Lucy does have severe gastrointestinal issues and requires a very strict diet. She's currently on a hydrolyzed protein diet (by Royal Canin) and takes Fortiflora and cricket powder supplements to help boost her immune system. She is insured through VCA and Embrace Pet Insurance - it's important to keep her health insurance coverage active. Her current monthly costs run $200 for food, supplements and insurance. Any adopters must sign a contract stating they will maintain her diet and insurance.

Murdock is 4-5 year old altered male Dogo Argentino. He was saved from the shelter in Broward county after being left there by his family. Sadly he had cataracts and was unable to see properly. Murdock had very successful bilateral cataract surgery and is now learning how to be better with socialization! He is great with his foster family and will start professional training in November to make sure he is the perfect dog. He LOVES getting treats and eager to learn to get praise and love. This handsome boy also LOVES PLAYING TOYS!!!Due to his previous visual limitations he has not been introduced to other pets or children and we recommend a home where he is the only dog. We hope that professional training will help Murdock learn everything he needs to be even more awesome than he already is!Murdock came to us frightened and blind out of rough situation. Cataract surgery restored his sight, but due to his lack of socialization Murdock is wary of strangers. He can be won over with a little bit of patience and kindness, and he’s a total love bug once you have his trust. He absolutely loves to play, especially tug! He’s crate trained, housebroken, clicker trained, and walks well on leash. While he doesn’t know many tricks, Murdock loves learning and is very food motivated.Murdock needs to be an only pet, without kids or other dogs. We are working with a trainer to help teach him that strangers aren’t so scary, and is looking for a home that can help continue this with positive reinforcement training. He will likely never be a dog park or stranger friendly dog, but Murdock will be a wonderful and loving companion for his family.
