Hi my name is Coco and I am an incredibly sweet 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier/ Beagle mix. I was rescued from the shelter after I was hit by a car and my original owner dumped me there: I had a broken pelvis and pyometra :( Thankfully Delaney's Dog saves many medical dogs like me when other rescues will not because of the expense to do so. My foster mom says I am so sweet, obedient and a great dog. She says I will make an amazing family dog especially since I am so good with children. I am a special-needs dog however. It is believed that as a result of my fractured pelvis from being hit by a car I became incontinent and do need to wear diapers. I can't wait for my happy ever after! Hope that is with you! Please apply online at: https://www.delaneysdog.com/adoption-application.html if you are interested in adopting me! xo, Coco ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Interested in adopting? If so, please complete an adoption application first at www.delaneysdog.com/adoption-application.html All Delaney's Dog adoption fees include : -Up-to-date vaccinations -Spay/neuter -Microchip & microchip registration The adoption process requires an initial approved Adoption Application, a home visit to ensure safety and well-being of adoptee & a separate Adoption Agreement. **Adoption fees vary and are NOT NEGOTIABLE. Tall, dark & handsome young man seeks adoptive family that loves outdoor activity and adventures – running, urban mushing, hiking, camping and more with at least one other large-breed, playful canine companion. I love playing with other dogs and they help give me confidence to explore the world.   Children confuse me and give me anxiety. No children; teenagers would probably be ok. I am very weary and very scared to meet new people or be in loud & busy places. My adoptive family will need to have experience with fearful dogs and a lot of patience.   I do have house manners but I absolutely need consistency, boundaries and continuous training. I go urban mushing 3-4 times a week, in addition to daily walks, multiple but short training sessions throughout the day and love playing with puzzle feeders every day.   Application Requirements: 6 foot fence or higher. 10 foot fences with lean-ins are not required but advantageous. No chain link fencing unless there are lean-ins. Dig guards required as I love to dig. Previous WD, German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois or Siberian Husky ownership & training experience is required. Geographic exclusions apply, e.g. applications may be rejected simply based on home location. Home location must be within a day’s driving distance from the greater Los Angeles area. At least one other large-breed, active canine companion is required. No children; households with teenagers may be considered. Interview & home visit are required.   Jack will be 1 year old in February. He is a German Shepherd/Malamute mix with a sprinkling of Siberian husky, Samoyed and other breeds. He is currently 80 pounds and will likely be 100+ pounds when fully developed. He is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. show less

Millie is an approximately 5 year old, 35 lb Shepherd mix. She was surrendered to the shelter as a rescue after going after other dogs in the household. She needs to be the only pet for this reason. She is housetrained and knows a few basic commands (sit, wait). She loves people, including children. She is a super snuggler, loves to play with toys and run around. She needs work on the leash as she pulls and is quite strong, as well as being aggressive with other dogs and small animals. She needs some work, but will be an amazing family dog. Sitka has two natural gifts and two innate desires - mushing and her capacity to love; to mush and to be loved on.    We are seeking an adoptive mushing home, recreational or otherwise, for Sitka. It would be a waste of natural talent if she never mushed beyond foster stay with us.    She is poetry in motion with a beautiful gait, strong work ethic and desire to move forward. She is a total natural, keeps her like tight, nice gait, great physique, runs well with other dogs.   I don’t think she came from a racing kennel nor do I think she came from a recreational mushing home. She does not know directional commands but she naturally holds a solid line-out!    She is a stunning Siberian princess with soulful chocolate-colored eyes who is happiest when shes either mushing or being cuddled on the couch.    Sitka loves road trips,adventure-filled outings and simple companionship with her human and her pack. She may have potential to be a therapy dog as well. She got to meet my dad who has Parkinson’s and is in a wheelchair. She remained cool, confident and absolutely loving. Within 30 seconds of meeting him, she placed her head on his chest so they could meet. And walked nicely with him when I took him outside in his wheelchair.    Sweet, playful, athletic, petite and strong, incredibly intelligent. Just wants to love and to be loved with all her heart, soul and being. She’s just so so loving and friendly, lives to cuddle with people and is just a wonderful companion.    In terms of husky energy, she is lower to medium energy. Sitka is house-trained, walks well on a leash, is dog-friendly, runs well in harness (sled dog activities), is an accomplished co-pilot (rides great in the car) and is quick to learn; she is also crate-trained. Sitka would be fine with kids. Absolutely no cats or other small animals. She is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.    Her ideal canine companion would be of a size and weight that she could play and wrestle with (medium or larger dogs). The prospective canine companion should be strong-minded. If she thinks she can one up her companion, she will. But if they don’t take her crap, she’s totally fine. She is not an “alpha” or “dominant” type of girl.    Sitka does have mild, occasional urinary incontinence and is on medication (Incurin; costs ~$20 for a month’s supply) to help and it does seem to be helping. There is a chance the urinary incontinence goes away once she’s been in a stable home environment for 60-90 days. She’s been with 5 different families in 5 months due to no fault of her own - 3 adoptions that haven’t panned out and 2 different foster families.   Out-of-state adoptions considered (Western half of the continental US).   #TheTruthAboutSiberianHuskies “A lot of people are naturally drawn to our stunning looks but we are so much more than just a pretty face. We are athletes, magicians, acrobats, opera singers, demolition experts and the joyfully remorseless skaters of small furry animals, frogs and birds. We will trash your garden, empty your bank account and steal your heart.” - Unknown show less

Hi! My name is Wiley and I am a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. This is Wiley. Yes, he is cute as all get up BUT he is CHALLENGING. It takes several meetings for him to be comfortable around new people/dogs to let them touch him. So if you’re interested in him - you need to understand that you will not be able to touch him when you first meet him - doesn’t matter how much ‘dogs love you’. He doesn’t care. BUT once ‘you’re in’ - he’s a dream boat - sweet, goofy & loving. He is NOT a dog to ‘bring to work’, ‘go to the dog park/beach’, even walk in a busy neighborhood - he can trigger on cars, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, joggers etc. Wiley needs to live in the country or at least the suburbs with a BIG back yard. Walks should be a bonus not a necessity because his reactivity can be exhausting. He has improved tremendously and is manageable around his triggers but you HAVE to be constantly aware of your surroundings. Not for first time dog owners. Wiley is bright, sensitive, and follows direction beautifully. He loves to chase a ball, herd sheep and get lots of love but he will always need structure and boundaries. Trainer available for lifetime of dog. Interested in giving Wiley a happy ever after?
