Meet our sweet Diggory! Diggory is a male, orange tabby, about 4-5 months old. He came to us with his siblings, PuddleDuck (whom he is bonded to), TiggyWinkle, and Timmy Tiptoes - all named after Beatrix Potter characters. They came to us on July 3rd from a local street, absolutely covered in  fleas. One of the kittens died before we were even able to get it due to flea anemia. These babies are happy and healthy now and what lovebugs! All of the kittens have a similar personality - playful, cuddly and loving, and with a happy-go-lucky attitude. They absolutely brighten my day every day! When we were getting ready to change foster homes, a foster tripped and the carrier sprung open, realasing all of the kittens into the large yard. Within a week, we had them all back again. PuddleDuck, poor guy, was so frightened that he was hiding under very thick bramble. It took me over 2 hours to zero in on where I heard his weak little meow. Diggory is extremely bonded to PuddleDuck and therefore must be adopted with him. He and PuddleDuck play together, sleep together, eat together and do everything together. Diggory is  quite a character. When he was lost, he climbed over 300 feet into a tree and we needed a professional tree climber to get him. All of the sudden we heard terrible meowing but couldn't see him. It was amazing how far he got - completely out of his character. Everyone is safe now and happy to be back. We are looking for a wonderful home for these boys and hoping they will be settled into their new home soon. Everyone in this litter is neutered, received 3 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, and microchipped with lifetime registrations. Don't ever worry about renewing the registration - it's done! Questions? Interested? Let us know! GoodMews22@aol.com show less

Meet Fisher! Fisher s a dark orange colored tabby, just 4 1/2 months old. He and his siblings, Dune, Cricket, JuneBug, and Tadpole were literally dumped at the county dump as though they were trash. Thank goodness someone found them. Unfortunately, they brought them to a high-kill shelter that was over-capacity and they were immediately slated for death. Forgotten Felines of Culpeper jumped in to save them and they came to us on the Freedom Ride on July 8th. These poor babies were thin and sickly but are all better now. Every single kitten in the litter is a purr machine, loving, playful, and sweet. Fisher is no exception. His purrfect home would be just about any home, he would need to be adopted with a sibling or another kitten, and he must be an indoor only cat. Fisher can sometimes be a bit of a loner. He is the first one to escape the room, but instantly regrets his decision and tries to get back into the room with his siblings, often crying to be with them. However, he will elude capture til the last possible minute before allowing you to get him and place him back with his siblings. He is a character, but he has a strong family bond with them, probably because of all they have been through together. Fisher is neutered, had 2 distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration - you won't need to pay every year to re-register her. Meet Grasshopper! Grasshopper (female) and her siblings were found in a hollowed tree - just like the Keebler elves - as tiny kittens. Their mom, Keebler hid them there to keep them safe. All are named with the Kebbler treats in mind. :0) At this posting (6/3/21) they are approx. 7 - 8 weeks old. Grasshopper is a little black and white tuxedo, with with one eye area black and the other all white. She is the most friendly, silly, energetic, and playful of the litter. She is always getting into something fun. She loves to play with her siblings - romping and climbing and always surprising them from either above or behind by tackling them and wrestling with them. She is easy going and outgoing and enjoys life to the fullest. Her perfect home would be almost any home, cat-friendly kids over 5 years old and she MUST be adopted with a sibling.  This litter is dewormed, spayed/neutered, has had 2-3 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine (if 4 months or older at adoption), mom will be tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and all are microchipped with a lifetime registration. All are ready to be preadopted now. Please go to: https://www.forgottenfelinesculpeper.org/preadopt for more information on preadoption and an application. Have more questions? Meet Hannah!  Hannah is a black and white tuxedo with a little tip of white at the end of her tail, approximately 5 months old. She enjoys looking out the window at the birds and playing with her sister, Gretel (Get it? Hannah and Gretel?) whom she is bonded with. They are mirror images of each other. Hannah, her mom and siblings came to us from a high-kill shelter last June just before they were to be euthanized. Hannah used to play a little hide and seek game with her foster mom when they first came to us, Hannah and her family were crated in a large crate (protocol while in iisolation, to be sure they are healthy) and every morning, Hannah would climb out of the crate (she was that little that she could fit between the bars) and when her foster mom came back, she would climb back into the crate to eat with her siblings. What a trick! She did this every night for a week, Once, her foster mom caught her lounging on the kitty climber, looking out the window, without a care in the world, not realizing she was busted! Their perfect home would be without young children, but children over the age of 9. Gretel will be spayed, recieved 2 -3  FVRCP vaccines, her rabies vaccine and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please contact us at GoodMews22@aol.com or call us at 540.717.4420 to adopt. They are looking forward to be home for Thanksgiving! show less

Meet Holli! Holli is a long-haired white and gray tabby and a cutie pie for sure! She is about 8 weeks old and will be ready to find her forever home in a few weeks, approximately  the 1st week in December. The kittens in this litter continue to comfort nurse with mom and  getting used to domestoc food. We are still getting to know Holli and her family, but can tell you what we do know...they have been through a LOT. Somehow they found themselves in a high-kill shelter on death row. We saw a photo of them (see below) and scheduled them for a Freedom Ride immediately. Holli and her mom, Mittens, and siblings, MistleToe (male), and SugarPlum (male) are very grateful to be able to live and are getting used to us. SugarPlum is definitely the bolder of the siblings and loves affection - to be held, pet, etc. He is the 1st one to come and eat and see what is going on in the room. Holli is still  little shy and is absolutely hystical about getting dewormer medicine. - You would think we were feeding her pure lemons with the reaction and face we got! A drama queen in the making. MistleToe is a follower and just follows along wherever his siblings are. We do not know who is bonded to who yet, if in fact, anyone is bonded. All three siblings have been dewormed and started on their FVRCP vaccine series. They will receive a rabies vaccine if 4 months old when adopted, be spayed or neutered, and will each receive a microchip with a lifetime registration. You will not need to pay $20 every year to register - done! We expect a LOT of people will be interested in this litter and will choose the best possible home. Preference goes to a home that will adopt 2 of the siblings together. Pre-adoptions are open now.
