She does have Hyperthyroidism and will need to be on a special diet.  Other than that she is a healthy girl.  Adora is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home with the right person.  If she sounds like a good fit for you then please fill out the application and An Adoption Coordinator will be in contact with you. Baron is a very handsome and well-bred German Shepherd that is looking for a new forever home where he can continue to shine.  He is 4 years old, AKC registered, and has AKC acknowledgment as a Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban CGC, and AKC Community Canine.  He does have all of his papers which will be presented upon adoption.  He has been microchipped, fully vaccinated, and neutered. Baron is kennel trained. At first, he was familiar only with closed kennels but has now also adapted to wire kennels as well. He does wonderfully on a leash outside. He is very strong so would not do well in a home where small children live, and his new handler should have the strength to handle him as he has been startled by new experiences.  He has done well with dogs both large and small and has been learning to play with his foster siblings. He lets his 15lb foster brother push him around! He hasn't chased squirrels, and we expect he would do well with cats if given a slow proper introduction. Baron lived his first 4 years outside and was very unsure about the inside world, but has made great strides with his skilled foster family, and has done very well adjusting to inside life, learning from the other dogs in the home. He has learned good house manners and is not destructive, hasn't chewed on anything or lifted his leg. He has also mastered the dog door and is completely house-trained with that option. He is not suitable for an apartment and needs a fully fenced yard. Would prefer an applicant that has GSD experience, but would consider others, as he will need a patient and understanding new owner to help him adjust to new experiences. He would do best with another confident dog is in his home that can show him how to be a dog but it's not a requirement. He is very smart and adjusts quickly with the right methods. He is a great dog already and will shine even brighter in the right home. If you are interested in being considered to adopt Baron, please fill out an application and we will call you to discuss and set up a meet and greet to see if you are the right fit for each other. The suggested Adoption Donation is $550. Charlie Brown is an adorable EWOK.  He is a lovable 10-year-old Pekingese/shitzu mix.  He and his son Chucky were brought into the PPA fold after being abandoned in their house when their owner passed away and no family wanted to take them in.  He is a sweet boy that loves pets and going for walks.  Charlie Brown is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped and along with his son Chucky ready for the next adventure with his new forever family.   Charlie Brown gets along with kids and other pets.  He prefers a nice soft bed where he can sleep and snuggle.  Being a senior dog he would do best in a home where he is allowed to take his time and set his own pace.  Charlie Brown and Chucky are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Chucky is a sweet 8-9-year-old Pekingese/ Shit Zu mix.  He and his dad Charlie Brown were abandoned in their home due to illness and neighbors took food to them and cared for them. We originally thought they were brothers, but their groomer recognized them and we learned Chucky is the offspring of Charlie Brown! Since coming to Patient Pet Advocates, Chucky has been vaccinated, microchipped, and given a thorough medical exam.  He is Neutered.  He does have luxation of the back knees along with arthritis.  He moves slowly but manages to get around just fine.  He has had dental work done and feels pretty good about it..  .  Chucky is a very loving dog who loves to lay in the sun or on a nice soft bed.  He loves his treats and pets.   Chucky would be best in a home with older children, due to his age.  He does get along with other dogs and seems to ignore cats.  If you have the space and love to take in this amazing senior dog then please fill out the application. Chucky and Charlie Brown, it has been discovered, are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Suggested Adoption Donation for both Chucky and Charlie Brown is $275 .  Click the adopt button to fill out an application to meet Chucky. Miss Kitty is a Gorgeous senior Maine Coon that is in need of a new home due to her human passing recently.  She spent the last five years with her human dad being spoiled and treated like a princess which she is.  She is a shy girl around new situations, but when she warms up to you and feels secure she is very loving.  She loves to chase a string and adores loving pets.  She had to have her front teeth pulled but her back teeth are still in place.  She does have a sensitive stomach which requires her to eat hydrolyzed food.    She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines.  She would do best in a quiet home with no small children.  She may do ok with other cats but we are not sure about dogs.  If Miss Kitty seems like a good fit for you then please fill out the application and a volunteer will get back to you to discuss.
