We don't understand how Chance has not been scooped right up yet ?! We love his big happy smile and his adorable ears. Chance has quite the personality too! Chance is always so happy and sweet to everyone he meets; quite the social butterfly! He loves to snuggle on the couch and climb in your lap but he is also happy running and playing fetch. Chance does great with kids ( but can play a bit rough sometimes ) and loves other dogs !  We look at Chance and we see a total Heinz 57 Mix, but if we had to take our best guess maybe some Shepherd or Carolina dog in there? Some hound ? It will be a mystery for now, but what we DO know is that Chance has patiently been waiting for a home to call his own for WAY too long! Chance was originally found in a horrible area of Texas with a giant chain doubled around his neck. SNARR was asked to step in to help and we immediately said YES! We couldnt resist his adorable face and wanted to give him his second chance. Chance lived a tough life as a stray prior to being rescued. Because of that, he can sometimes be a bit territorial over food with other dogs in the home. Therefore we suggest an owner with experience and a willingness to work with him or he could benefit as an only dog who gets to socialize and play with other dog buddies at the park and outside of the home. Chance is currently located at our adoption center in Brewster NY waiting for his perfect forever home or a loving foster home. *Name: Duke *Age: 2.5 years old *Current Weight: 45lbs *Rescued from: South Carolina *Adoption fee: $475 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Meet Duke !!! this sweet boy was languishing in a very overcrowded shelter in SC when the volunteers begged us to please save him, he's such a good boy. And they were right. Duke is so incredibly sweet, he just wants someone to love him He greets everyone with a tail wag and a kiss then will roll over for some good old belly rubs. Duke would make a wonderful family dog or a great dog for someone that wants someone to go on nice hikes with. Duke is super smart and catches on real quick to paw and sit and even laydown when there are treats involved. He is an energetic little guy who needs to be taught not to jump so we would say a home with children over 10 would be perfect. This sweet girl we rescued from Manhattan ACC.  A please went out to help her and her unborn babies when she caught kennel cough and was at risk to be euthanized.  The thought of this little family loosing their lives because of kennel cough in our own backyard was heartbreaking to us, so we grabbed her and her unborn family.  We rushed her to the hospital and treated her and put her in foster.  with the stress of it all she went into labor.would  Midnight's babies did not do well with a sick mom and they caught what she had.  All but two of her babies died and we needed to separate her from the remaining puppies inorder to get her better.  It was very devastating to her.  Her two remaining puppies were adopted out to wonderful families but now that Midnight is better she can't understand why she doesn't have a home of her own.  This little petite thing is just wonderful.  She greets everyone with a tail wag and a kiss, as to say I am alive and I am so happy, can you be my friend.  Midnight doesn't NOT have a mean bone in her whole body and would be a wonderful, loyal, loving member to any family.  She would do wonderful with kids and and person big or small.  She just loves everyone.  I don't think I could express in words how sweet this girl is.  From her trauma of loosing her babies she does need for now to be the only dog, but walks beautiful on the leash and is just focused on her person.  and who will say high to her.  This girl is a diamond in the rough and whomever would give the chance to flourish really would not regret it.  If you are interested in meeting this beautiful, sweet girl please fill out an application at www.snarrnorthest.org FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. *Name: Mumbles *Age: approx 2.5 years old *Current Weight: 40 pounds *Rescued from: TN *Adoption fee: waived (a wonderful donor has sponsored Mumbles adoption fee)  *Health: Up to date on vaccines, Neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, Mumbles needs to be the only dog in the home, High physical fence (no electric fence) and secured yard, no cats. Meet Mumbles! Mumbles is a 2.5 year old cattle dog mix. He is such a affectionate pup but does require an owner who understands the needs of his breed (heeler/cattle dog). Mumbles is still very much a puppy and is VERY active, he can jump high so we do require applicants to have a fully fenced in yard. Mumbles is very unsure of other dogs, so he would do best in a home where he could get all the love and attention. Mumbles LOVES his humans, loves to play and would love a home to cuddle up by your side after a nice run in the yard. He does great with kids, responds to recall, and listens to commands. Mumbles is very obedient and eager to please his humans. Mumbles is located at our adoption center in Brewster NY!  Maybe you can give him a home to call his own?! *Name: Radical Rory *Age: 1 year *Current Weight: 65 pounds *Rescued from: Tennessee *Adoption fee: $550 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Meet this gorgeous guy named Rory. This big boy weighs in at around 65lbs at about 1 year old. We think Rory is a Rottie/Swiss mountain dog mix. Rory and his brother Dolan were both rescued from a tiny rural shelter in Tennessee. They were in horrible shape and had been terribly neglected by their former owners. We saw their photos and fell in love and wanted to give these boys a second chance! Rory is very loving and bonds with his humans easily. He is outgoing, spunky, and a total mush. He is crate trained and working on housetraining. our staff at our center have been working with him on his basic commands and boy does this guy catch on quick. HIs skin has improved drastically but he still has a little way to go until his coat is in tip top shape, but that doesn’t stop everyone from saying how handsome he is! He is super friendly and wiggly and have done well with all dogs he has met, all people and lived with children in their former home. Rory is also great with goats and cats!
