Hi, my name is Caramello and I'm a sweet, active girl looking to find the perfect furever home! Mom is a 30 lb Australian Cattle Dog mix, and I currently look a bit like a short furred Golden Retriever / Yellow Lab, and will probably only be about 50 lbs when I'm grown.  I'm quite spunky and love to wrestle with my siblings and foster brother cat, so I would enjoy a home with another medium/large sized dog(s).  I have a lot of character and I like to flip my ears inside out like I'm flying! I'm a smart girl and already know some basic commands (sit, down, come, wait, free, "chigger" permission to eat) and I am crate trained. My foster mom says I'm super sweet, love to snuggle and have super SOFT fur so would make a great snuggler for your loving family! I had some sort of accident while playing with my siblings and broke the crest off of my Tibia, so had surgical repair.  The Vet says that I should be 100% though. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $275 and includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, chip, and age appropriate vaccines. We look forward to helping you complete your family, soon. Please go to bthnm.org and click on Adopt to be taken to the adoption application. Thanks! show less

Looking for a companion to start the new year with? Duke is looking for his forever home!  He would do best as an only dog in a home with just adults. He is a beautiful 2.5 year old Australian Shepherd mix. He is fiercely loyal and wants nothing more than to be loved. If you are looking for a velcro dog who is eager to please, he is the dog for you. He listens well and is very smart!! Duke is crate trained and loves being in his crate. He is also fully house trained and will sit by the back door to let you know he needs to potty. Duke has never tried escaping his foster's yard and is not destructive. Despite the Aussie in him, Duke is not overly energetic. He has great drive if asked of him but he also has a good off switch and will lounge around with you all day! He truly is a great dog who just needs someone to love him as much as he loves them. Duke's foster is offering FREE, LIFETIME boarding for when you need to travel. Additional information will be given with adoption. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee. Hi!! My name is Spoon, and I am just the handsomest fellow you ever will see! I'm a male border collie mix born approximately November 2018. I am very curious and adventurous!! I don't like to be contained to yard I prefer to go on walkabouts of the neighborhood. But unlike Crocodile Dundee, I don't have the skills to navigate the great outdoors. So I need a home with a secure fence, at least 6 ft, or a covered dog run for my time outside. But I still hope I can sleep on your bed every night! I'm the sweetest fella too!! I get along well with dogs. I haven't been around cats but I'm sure I could learn. I'm a medium sized dog about 50-60 lbs. Something important that you should know about Spoon is that he is an adept escape artist. If you are interested in him and are contacted for a meet and greet, please talk with the foster to make certain your environment will allow for a safe place for him. There will be no out of state adoptions for Spoon. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee.
