Gretta is a single lady who knows what she wants in a family! She will be interviewing you as much as you are interviewing her. Lol. Don't worry...Gretta's not a harsh critic, but she is going to need someone that can provide an active home life. She likes to go for walks and hikes and do all sorts of outdoor activities. Gretta is a cattle dog mix born approximately 1/26/21. She would do best with a family who has experience with cattle dogs and knows their unique personality traits. Gretta is going to need someone who can provide a lot of structure in her life. She is not fond of cats and is busy enough that small children would not likely be a good fit. But she does do okay with other dogs with slow introductions. She's not a dog that will lay around the house all day, but she's also not a dog that is going to drive you nuts with lots of energy. Greetings. My name is Ichabod Crane and I am a male Domestic Long Hair with stunning black hair except for two white toes! I was born on March 11, 2022. Gotta be honest, I’m still a little shy (I was feral) and would LOVE to have a kitty friend to help me feel confident. (My foster sincerely hopes that I can be adopted with my brother, Indiana Jones, because we are such good buddies.) I’ve come a long way since I first got to my foster, but she’s very pleased with how much better I’m doing. I’m even taking treats out of her hand, sometimes! It is nice to see that humans can be so sweet and caring. He does well with other cats and dogs. She thinks I’m going to be a large cat because I’m already bigger than my littermates. Remember, I REALLY like Indiana Jones! (wink, wink) He needs a patient adopter willing to take their time to let him come out of his shell. Indiana Jones will likely help with that, since it is a kitty he knows. Please keep in mind that preference is given to families who adopt two kittens. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee. Howdy! My name is Iggy Igloo and I am a male buff kitten with medium to long fur and I was born March 11, 2022. Let’s just start out with I love snuggling with my foster’s adult cat and would do GREAT with a furry playmate. Like my brother, Ichabod, I was a little more “feral” than some of my littermates, but I’m making progress every day! My foster thinks it is funny that when her adult cat grooms me, I am SO happy! I get along with dogs, too! I really enjoy sitting on top of the cat tree and keeping an eye on what is going on. I’ll need a patient adopter who will give me time to get comfy with my new surroundings and people. If you already have a cat or want to adopt maybe an older cat, I’d be so happy about that! Probably, it would be best if I wasn’t around young children. But I would love to meet you and show you what a wonderful addition I will be to your home! Marcia, here, and I am trying to look as wonderful as I can! I am a female Border Collie blend born on January 24, 2002. Have I got a story for you! When I was just a couple of weeks old, they found abscesses in my throat. The doctor took care of those and I was put on antibiotics. There was a blizzard that day and it took my foster 3 hours to get home! They were afraid I might not make it through the night, but I DID and was feeling better by morning! I started gaining weight and have been doing well ever since. I’m a playful and feisty girl and I love to wrestle with my mama. I love my brother, Peter, and we play and cuddle non stop. I get along well with the other family dog and cat and the small humans! I love to be held and get snuggles. Meal time is my favorite time of day. I sleep in a crate and I am puppy pad trained. I might be a little shy when I first meet someone, but I’m quick to warm up. My foster says I am the most beautiful of the girls. I think I would like to meet you! What do you think? Hi!! My name is Spoon, and I am just the handsomest fellow you ever will see! I'm a male border collie mix born approximately November 2018. I am very curious and adventurous!! I don't like to be contained to yard I prefer to go on walkabouts of the neighborhood. But unlike Crocodile Dundee, I don't have the skills to navigate the great outdoors. So I need a home with a secure fence, at least 6 ft, or a covered dog run for my time outside. But I still hope I can sleep on your bed every night! I'm the sweetest fella too!! I get along well with dogs. I haven't been around cats but I'm sure I could learn. I'm a medium sized dog about 50-60 lbs. Something important that you should know about Spoon is that he is an adept escape artist. If you are interested in him and are contacted for a meet and greet, please talk with the foster to make certain your environment will allow for a safe place for him. There will be no out of state adoptions for Spoon. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee.
