Betty is a female Chihuahua blend born on December 30, 2018. She is a shy girl at first, but when she warms up she turns into a totally different dog. When she’s comfortable, she’s an energetic, playful and silly girl. She also LOVES to cuddle! She’s lived with several dogs of all shapes in sizes in her foster homes, and she’s done well with everyone. She might even be MORE comfortable in a home with other dogs. Betty doesn’t seem to do very well with most men, but from what we can tell it might have more to do with height, as the men she’s been okay with have all been shorter. She is a wonderful girl and will be a welcome addition in the right home, for her. You should definitely "take a look".  For adoption inquiries, please go to bthnm.org, find this pet’s picture and click on the Adopt button. Hello. My name is Foxxy and I am Shepherd/Heeler mix born on June 25, 2020. I am a smart, observant girl with a sweet disposition. I am also gentle. I LOVE playing with my pupper friend as much as I can, so it would be great to have a doggie friend to play with in my new family, to help me burn off some playful energy. I also get along with cats! For the rest of my story, I’ll turn it over to my foster. Foxxy had clearly had a very hard life before entering foster care. Her face, chest, and legs have scars from bites and her ears have been cut off at the tip. She is extremely fearful of men and “loud boots on the floor” (which leads me to speculate that she was possibly mistreated by a man).  She is incredibly timid and will need time to adjust, but once she does, she is very affectionate and attentive. She will need training for basic commands and to get used to a leash. (I believe she had been lured with food and remembers being leashed in that way.) She’ll likely run away from offered food until she gets used to you. Because of her tendency to want to run away from quick movements and loud noises, she might not do well with small children. I do want to let you know that she is a sweet, loving dog that just needs some time to adjust to her new forever home. She LOVES playing with my dog and is quite comfortable with my cats. Her heart is full of love and wanting to be a part of a family that will be patient and teach her how much love they have in their hearts.   Hi!! My name is Peaches, and I am a little snow bunny!!! I am looking for an active household who will take me on long hikes and possibly even teach me to snowboard. Playing in the snow is my absolute favorite thing!!! I might enjoy camping and sleeping under the stars. I am a 2.5 year old corgi pitty blend, so I am short and stocky. I am very powerful but don't hold that against me...I walk very well on a leash. I have been to obedience training and am house broken. I am crate trained and will run right in for a cookie. I have been attacked by larger dogs so it takes me a little bit to warm up...can you blame me? I am good with other animals, but would recommend a household without young kids just because of my powerful nature. Won't you take me home today? What have you got? Is it something FUN? Hi! My name is Vincent and I am a male black and brown Lab blend born on April 15, 2021. My foster says I am a very sweet and playful pup with lots of energy. I would really like to be your best buddy and be next to you whenever I can. I’m learning my basic commands and walking on a leash! I’m in that teething stage, so I’ll probably need some chew toys for my size. I’m getting better at learning that I need to go outside to pee and poop. I do like to herd, so you’ll have to work with me on that. I would love to cuddle on your lap. I’m good with other dogs, but I’d need time to get used to those other furry critters that humans have. Don’t I sound like fun? You should check me out! For adoption inquiries, please go to bthnm.org, find this pet’s picture and click on the Adopt button.
