Meet Benji!  He was abandoned outside of the Catfe in Ferndale in 2022.  Unfortunately we don't know his story before he came to us, but he Is one of hte most firendly and loving kitties you will ever meet.  He had some digestive issues but at the time he moved to adoption he was doing great on special food.   He was adopted about a year ago and he was returned to us with pretty severe constipation and very impacted.  After 3 trips to the vet to help clear out his bowels, he is in a great place again.  He is on a prescription canned food and he is taking miralax once a day (a laxative powder that just gets sprinkled into his food).  He loves all the kitties and humans in his foster home and would do great in a home with other kitty friends.  You can tell he feels like a new cat, and is so happy to be feeling good again.   He needs an adoptive home who can keep him on a special diet and keep on top of his veterinary care if he has any problems. He should stay on canned food and his humans need ot make sure he stays hydrated and doesn't get constipated.  He is neutered, microchipped, and in great health other than just needs an adopter who can keep him on a special diet.  He is an absolute sweetheart and would be a great addition to any family.   Apply to adopt him today!   Adoption fee: $150 show less

Cheddar is an absolute love and a very special boy.  He was an owner surrender to the Humane Society of Monroe County in December 2022, and then he was adopted out in January of 2023.  He was returned to their shelter and was there for a couple of months before they reached out to us for help.  He was said to have some special needs and neurologic problems.  He was not eating a lot and was not doing well living in a cage.  We were very happy to help him and take him into foster. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.   He loves to play and loves attention.  He is doing really well and doesn't seem to have many neurological deficits.  He gets around fine and gets up and down stairs, and gets into the bed fine.  He seeks out his foster mom wherever she is and wants nothing but love.  His eyes skew out a little to the side but his vision seems to be really well.   He was returned for not using the litterbox, but once we found a litterbox he likes to use, he is using it great.  He is a little particular with food but he loves Weruva BFF food.   He is a very sweet and social boy.  We aren't sure if he would do well with another kitty, as he gets irritated with the other cat in his foster home.  He didn't seem to be bothered by other cats in the shelter so he may do ok with another mellow cat with slow introductions.   Adoption fee: $150 show less

Hi! My name is Corabelle and my foster mama calls me Cory. I used to live in a pretty cramped place with several of my siblings until FCS came in and transported us all to safety in April. I don't even think I had my own litter box or slept in a sun patch until I arrived at the Catfe. My foster mom came one evening and selected me to take home - and it has been such a pawsome experience to know what a home is. I was extremely timid at first since my last "home" did not spend time with me or many of my siblings and I must admit that it took me some time to come out of my cave and into the sun patch on my foster mama's bed. She has been instrumental in my confidence and trust and I love to play with her and all the toys she's gotten me. She is the one that got me my first toy and shook it in front of me - it sort of took me a few to figure it out but when I did, I've never had more fun! I really like squeeze treats but nothing seafood - it's too stinky.  I used to dislike being touched and it would make me flinch, but now I adore all the pets my foster mama gives me. She's been so patient and loving with me that I really adore her. I stay pretty close to her since she makes me feel so safe. My foster mama refers to me as Cory, her sweet girl and told me that she thinks I'm ready to find my FURever home. I think that I might like a playmate since I miss some of my siblings, but I also think that I'd like a hooman that is home a lot so I can continue to blossom and spend time alongside them. I will require some patience since it will be somewhere new but if the hooman is willing to continue to work on my confidence and trust, I'd make the purrfect sidekick.
