Orchid is 54 pounds. She is good with cats (although really wants to meet them, but she’s kind about it), good with kids. Very well crate trained and potty trained. Each day she is getting better walking on a leash. She’s still shy when it comes to strangers, but her tail wags SO MUCH. Orchid was found emancipated and alone in the country. She is timid at first but will come around once she learns trust. This poor girl has been through so much and is now getting the attention she needs. As emotionally defeated and weak as she was, Orchid is certainly making progress! We promise she is eating well and starting to gain some confidence and strength. She's a very sweet girl and has a lot of love to give as she's starting to show. She is at a healthy weight of 55 pounds and close to 2 years old. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Peggy Sue-she is vintage just like her Buddy Holly name sake song. Life was not very kind to this old Matriarch, she needs a home of her own. She isn't very fond of other dogs, she's born many litters and dealt with so much it's time for her to be a little selfish with her needs. This is your lucky day! If you are reading this note, then you are considering adopting Peggy Sue, a truly special girl. Clearly, her past was somewhat rough, but she has healed physical and emotionally. Similar to most dogs, Peggy Sue gives her love unconditionally. The character trait that makes her so unique is her gratitude. She is so low maintenance because she is very content to be with her humans, feeling safe and secure. The neighborhood kids (all ages) know and love her. I live on a cul-de-sac with young kids. Peggy Sue does not mind bikes, scooters, Barbie cars and kid noise. The toddlers come up to her and touch her. She is so excited to see people when we are walking in the neighborhood. I use the word “walk” but it really is more of a slow stroll. She enjoys taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the neighborhood. She will ignore other dogs unless they are dog reactive, then we usually steer clear. Peggy Sue is very observant, smart and trainable. She thrives in a secure environment where she was knows she is loved. I hope and pray that she finds a home that will love and cherish her the way she deserves. Peggy Sue has come a long way from the days of misery. She is a 'happy hippo'; we call her. She is low energy and just wants to be loved and know she is safe from her tortuous days. She loves people and tries to say Hi to everyone on her walks. Are you looking for a big love bug that you can spoil her final years; she will be eternally grateful. show less

Look at this beautiful girl, eyelashes and all! She is such a looker and she is silly, she always makes us laugh. Petunia has an awesome energy to be aroundl she loves people. You should see how smart she is. Petunia has been working with one of our awesome trainers. She had her 2nd session and it was filled with work on place, come, sit, watch me and long distance recall. Her nub wagged the whole time she learning commands. She always gives lots of kisses. 😙 This love bug has tons of love to share but no family to share it with. 😔 Her first session they worked on intro to place which she picked up like a champ, touch, more consistent come and sit-stays, leave it, and watch me. Petunia was found emaciated and dumped like trash on the side of a road in a rural South Texas town. We're truly heartbroken for Petunia, but now that she is safe with us, we will do EVERYTHING we can to take care of her, and save her from her obvious pain and horrific neglect. She was found with a mass which was successfully removed at Vet Ranch. She is now at a healthy weight and very loved. She would do best in a home without other dogs as she loves adults and children so much more and wants them to herself.
