You will not be forgotten... Dumped at a high kill shelter in her most time of need, after years of what probably was the best one could expect from a companion, and nonetheless right before Christmas. I have to wonder, was it a new Christmas puppy coming that made you do what you did? Maybe it was a combination of her age and tumors that convinced you that her time was up and to spare you the expense and wait at a vet clinic it was just easier to drop her off at the shelter. Did she walk in on her own will, with shaky legs. An angel stepped in to save her without a plan because she will not be able to eat, sleep or enjoy the holiday festivities if sher didn't. I dont even care how it will interrupt my life, she deserves to live her golden years in the best way possible. Her first priority was to get her here to Camp Dogrrr, she will not be the first neglected senior who has lived out their last year or so here at the farm and she will be with us inside while we open presents on Christmas Day and yes she will have one of her own under the tree as well. She will have the best bed I can find for her old bones and she will be treated as one of the family because I dont know her, but I Love her already. I break into tears at what I think may be going through her mind as to what she did wrong. I want to hug her and tell her she is the best dog ever and I will. She will have friends and get lots of petting and everyday she will feel the love that you never gave her since she was a puppy and I question even then. Mary is about 80lbs and she is so sweet! She gets along with all other dogs and cats and kids. She is an older girl and she is a strong survivor! She is hard of hearing and has Vestibular Disease, which makes her dizzy, so car rides are hard for her. She has arthritis and she went through a tough cancer surgery a few months ago. She is a wonderful girl. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. When asked the foster to give us some information on Melody, she said 'do I have to'? I would keep her if I could! So sweet..she is smart and very obedient! Sweet! Likes kids and gets along with smaller nondominent dogs..does not like and will try and kill cats! Wants to be the dominant dog in the house. Great at snuggling and wants to sleep with you! Sweet, sweet and so submissive to love! The plea read urgent FOSTER or RESCUE needed. This poor momma was alone in the shelter and the only way out was a Rescue!!! Her babies needed her, they were too young to be adopted. A shelter is no place for a mom and puppies. Their is too much sickness. Thankfully a brand new foster stepped up and offered to help this adorable family on their road to a fresh, new beginning. Meet Melody, the leader of her family of musical instruments! She nursed her 9 babies through this tough time and now deserves a chance to relax and enjoy some classical music. Pups were born on August 6. 5 females and 3 males. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. She could be one of the Golden Girls, yes she's a bit older but she is spunky, sweet and lets you know when she's had enough! This beautiful sweet girl was dumped in a shelter covered with fleas and ticks and in pain all over her body...probably from being kept in small quarters where her muscles atrophied and her skin is worn and missing fur on all parts used to lay down. Don't think she ever had a comfy bed or gentle hand pet her. When you saw her in the shelter your thinking this is an old dog...she just laid there in misery. She would get up when you came to her but wept everywhere you pet her. Had several litters of pups over the years. Well now, after just two weeks this sweet girl gets so excited when you come home...wags her tail and at times seems like she almost wants to jump up. She is loving life. All she wants to do is get pets and snuggle with you. She has an awesome personality. She is still sore in some places and has arthritis in her hips and legs but what a difference a little medical care and love can do. And in actuality she is not even that old, I think in a few more weeks she is going to start building more muscle and getting even stronger...this girl still has a lot of life to live. If your interested in a chow mix, she will be a great companion maybe not your hiking buddy but your snuggling up watching movies buddy! A beautiful girl! Miss Mia is 41 pounds and around four years old. She is great with kids and sleeps with her foster’s son every night! Miss Mia came to us and could be dog reactive, so we have been working on that. She is social after proper interactions. She will chase cats and loves barking at squirrels. Mia is super energetic and will need someone that can give her enough activity to burn off her daily energy. She is the fastest learner! It amazes me everyday. We now know, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “wait” & “watch me”. She’s getting better on a leash, but still pulls a bit. She’s much easier to control now though. Mia is also VERY treat driven with new commands. We’re still working on “leave it” and “off”. She’s been a great house guest! 100% house trained, great in a kennel (as long as she’s not locked up while you’re home) Mia LOVES toys and bones! She has not once tried to chew any of our furniture or belongings up. The most she’s ever done is drag our shoes to her bed for comfort, but has never chewed one up. She LOVES people of all shapes and sizes! She is a little high strung, so she would probably be better in a house with older kids. She’s fairly quiet, doesn’t bark and carry on when someone is at the door. But she will let you know if she needs to go out or wants back in. She has the CUTEST underbite I’ve ever seen and she’s the sweetest little cuddle bug! Miss Mia is heart worm positive and awaiting treatment. We don’t know where she was before DallasDogRRR, but we’re glad she’s here! All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.
