We are all so very proud of how quickly and well Holton has progressed! He's such a good dog (and he completely agrees)! Holton is feeling better, more confident, healthy, fur grown back, and making lots of friends. Poor Holton had not experienced a good home life prior to Dogrrr but you would not know looking at him today! When found he was close to starving and his leg was shattered by a bullet.  Now he takes a treat or food so gently you barely feel his mouth on your hand and he's an amputee that has no trouble getting around.   Holton's foster showed him there is love in this world and no one will hurt him ever again. He's a senior, yet we can see plenty of life in his sparkling eyes...he is a professional side-eye begger and his wagging tail shows how happy he's become.  He would be a fantastic companion for a family who wants a quiet, friendly pet with perfect house manners. Does well with dogs after a slow introduction, doesn't chase the cat, and uses the doggy door every time. He is a great kisser once he gets to know you (but you may have to buy him dinner first). All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100. It's been a year since Hurricane Harvey and Indy has made strides.  He is still shy at first and definitely prefers women to men but he is a sweet boy who loves his daily walks.  He gets so excited and runs to his spot that his harness gets put on.  He loves other dogs and still probably needs a fur sibling to help entertain and guide him.  He is not your typically snuggle bug, he prefers to lay on his own and watch all the action from afar. Indy was rescued from Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey; he came from a shelter in Houston. Indy is a shy boy.  He has definitely not experienced love and attention his whole life.  He is always sure to place himself in a position he can see from all angles what might be coming at him.  We say he is ‘on standby’ at all times.  In the few weeks the foster has had him he has made great progress but still has a long way to go.  He is very sweet and has showed no signs of aggression even when scared.  He gets along well with other dogs, foster thinks he probably needs a fur sibling to help show him the way.  Indy will be a loyal, loving dog one day it is just going to take some patience, love and consistency to get him to trust for the first time ever.  If you are up for the challenge and huge reward in the end; this sweet guy is for you.  Our first priority is to provide these dogs with a safe, loving place to lay their head and recover after a traumatic situation. Indy is estimated to be about 5 years old, weighs about 40 pounds. He's heartworm negative and will be medically cleared upon finalizing adoption.   All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100. Meet Jerry!! He is the biggest boy in the litter! He came to us at 5 weeks and 4 lbs. He just weighed in at 14 lbs!! He’s a little tank that loves your lap and wants to cuddle all the time! He gives the kisses freely! He is an adventurous sort and loves to play! He loves his kids and his foster fur siblings. He will be a great addition to any loving forever home and is ready to be adopted! This litter of 3 cuties is in need of placement! Bluebell has been separated from her brothers, since she has a little nubbin' foot (with one toe), and her mischievous brothers seem to want to try to chew on it.  All pups are being monitored in their foster home.  Please bear with us while we get to know them.  All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Jiggy’s owners left her behind when they moved. Jiggy stayed loyal to her owners by staying in the property in case they came back; unfortunately she was hit by a car one day while she ventured out looking for food. Due to lack of proper care after her accident, her spine grew crooked causing her to be incontinent (meaning she doesn’t have full control of her bladder or defecation). Jiggy Jill doesn’t realize that she is different than any other dog. She is able to run and play. She is truly the happiest, silliest and most active pup. Jiggy gets along with other dogs, cats and loves humans. Jiggy is special needs and requires extra care. She is on a special prescription food which keeps her poops solid for easy clean up. She is also trained to wear diapers and overalls while she is indoors. Jiggy Jill might have been a throw away stray who nobody cared for but we want to give her the best quality life. She definitely deserves it. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Julie is SO sweet and very mellow overall.  She is an older gal with a bit of arthritis in her hips and back legs but she still has a lot of love to give.  She has energy and spunk when she is ready for attention.  She would be so perfect for a quieter home where she can be the main one getting all the attention.  She gets along with all dogs and people but she is currently having to vye for the attention with several other dogs and we know she would be happier in a home where she is the only queen. Julie’s such a pretty girl.  She has come a long way in a few months. She’s at a healthy weight, her black fur is coming in so nice and soft. She was treated for HW and should be fully cleared at her upcoming 6-month checkup.  She loves to be near her person and we look forward to seeing her journey continue.  Such a great dog that needs lots of love, who doesn't want that!   Julie was found abandoned in deplorable conditions, Romo and Julie were left to survive on their own after their elderly family moved out and left them behind.  Both were dirty, smelly and covered in fleas from living most of the time in a cage in the back.  She does not like cages these days, but does well alone in the house. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.
