Henzley is 3yrs old and extremely friendly and mellow. She is crate trained and does fantastic on a leash. Shes the dog you could take anywhere. She loves my 9yr old daughter and plays with toys now. She has the autoimmune disease but she is doing well. She will just require someone to take action if she starts having any skin problems. Henzley is doing a lot better and making great progress. She is super playful, loving and even sometimes a little vocal lol. She is back to following me all over the place again. Now that we know she has the autoimmune disease we can fight it with the right stuff. She is on a special food and will require a dedicated adopter that can take quick action immediately if they see any signs of issues, but she is one heck of a bestfriend to have around! She is super sweet and mellow. She walks fantastic on a leash and is crate trained. She gets along with everyone and loves my kids. She will make a great addition to any family. Henzley is looking so good from her days tied to a chain, sweltering in the hot sun with terrible skin infections all over her. Can you imagine how miserable she was? After many vet visits, being shaved, medicated scrubs and numerous baths this sweet girl is flowering and looks beautiful. She is so well mannered and has put up with the baths and blow dryer. Henzley might have to stay looking like a baby llama 😂😂😂😂 Henzley is really a gentle soul. She is so beautiful and opening up a little more each day. She is very smart and already mastered the command "crate". Henzley was tied to a chain her whole life... a Good Samaritan called for help and they reported that she was chained in the yard. She has green discharge from her nose and eyes and her hair is falling out in clumps. We are on our way to get her we are hoping the owners will surrender! Thank God, they did. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. This beautiful girl is so sweet. She just wants to be loved and near people. The other day we brought her and her pal to one of our adoption events. They were in the backseat, by the time I walked and got in the driver's side she had calmly stepped into the passenger seat and rolled into a donut and starred at me the whole time we were driving. Perfect passenger! Hillary was an owner surrender to a local shelter. When we met her she was so friendly and seemed to love people and other dogs. We thought she deserved another chance. We hope you do too. She was a little shy and submissive but has gained some confidence and is sweet and adorable as can be. She does well with other dogs, kids and most everyone she meets. Very easy going. Walks well on leash. We know her personality will blossom once in the loving comfort of a foster or furever home. She had a few mammary glands that needed attention and will need to be watched but so far everything looks great and she is looking forward to finding her new furever home. HE HAD ALL BUT GIVEN UP. When you think you've seen it all, you see more. We don't know exactly how long Holton's neglect had been going on, but the property owner won't claim he was his, even though he's been living there for years. It wasn't until recently folks noticed him venturing further away from the hell hole he called home. He finally was silently calling for help and coming out to the road so people would see him. Thankfully, he wasn't ignored he was helped! When HOLTON got to the vet, the news was far worse than we could have expected. He has multiple bullets inside his weathered body. One that shattered his left leg that sadly healed incorrectly and he can't readily walk on it. He has a bullet lodged in his side. His teeth are worn to the gums. His skin horribly infected with mange and fleas. His eyes and ears filled with pus infection. Strong heartworm positive. And perhaps worst of all, he's emotionally defeated. He shakes at the new love being shown him. He doesn't fully understand yet that we are going to help him. Help him forget his abusive past. Sweet boy has a very long road ahead of him. He also needs an angel. An angel that will be his foster and teach him there is love in this world. He's a senior, yet we can see life in his eyes. 💔 All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. It's been a year since Hurricane Harvey and Indy has made strides. He is still shy at first and definitely prefers women to men but he is a sweet boy who loves his daily walks. He gets so excited and runs to his spot that his harness gets put on. He loves other dogs and still probably needs a fur sibling to help entertain and guide him. He is not your typically snuggle bug, he prefers to lay on his own and watch all the action from afar. Indy was rescued from Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey; he came from a shelter in Houston. Indy is a shy boy. He has definitely not experienced love and attention his whole life. He is always sure to place himself in a position he can see from all angles what might be coming at him. We say he is ‘on standby’ at all times. In the few weeks the foster has had him he has made great progress but still has a long way to go. He is very sweet and has showed no signs of aggression even when scared. He gets along well with other dogs, foster thinks he probably needs a fur sibling to help show him the way. Indy will be a loyal, loving dog one day it is just going to take some patience, love and consistency to get him to trust for the first time ever. If you are up for the challenge and huge reward in the end; this sweet guy is for you. Our first priority is to provide these dogs with a safe, loving place to lay their head and recover after a traumatic situation. Indy is estimated to be about 5 years old, weighs about 40 pounds. He's heartworm negative and will be medically cleared upon finalizing adoption. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. This girl is the absolute sweetest. When she came off the plane from PR it was like she was so relieved and knew her life was about to change and she has been nothing but grateful for it. You can not help but love this girl. Isabella is about 2 years old and around 40 pounds. Her fur is so soft, and she just wants a place to relax and be comfortable, this girl worked hard her first 2 years and is ready for the life of luxury. She is beautiful. This poor momma living on a busy street with her 7 pups, every day was a struggle for safety, food and water. No where else for them to go, that is all they know. This is one of the lucky families that made it out of Puerto Rico in hopes of finding a loving furever home. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. This sweet laid back, easy going hound is a hoot. He loves everyone and is just relaxed and go with the flow. He has a little bit of seperation anxiety right now but we know once he realizes his foster will always come back he will adjust. He's never had a home, love, companionship before and he doesn't want to let it go. The plea that came in...This dog was DUMPED. Poor condition, exhausted starving & malnourished, clearly for some time as you can see. So this is how people treat animals? This is not ok. Jagger was brought to a kill shelter with an already long list on death row. Such a sad situation in South Texas as the summer comes into full swing. This poor guy deserved a second chance at life. Lets get him some Dogrrr love and care. Shortly after he got here and gained some of his strength back we noticed him limping, so we brought him in to get checked out. He had severe osteomyelitis (which presents like a tumor) and his entire leg was infected, it was necrotizing, and it had almost reached the lymph nodes. It would have killed him faster than, what we thought was cancer, had we not gone in for the limp in the first place. So the leg had to be removed. He will be adoptable once all healed and healthy again! He already looks so good. Barely recognize him from the emaciated, miserable pup. Jiggy’s owners left her behind when they moved. Jiggy stayed loyal to her owners by staying in the property in case they came back; unfortunately she was hit by a car one day while she ventured out looking for food. Due to lack of proper care after her accident, her spine grew crooked causing her to be incontinent (meaning she doesn’t have full control of her bladder or defecation). Jiggy Jill doesn’t realize that she is different than any other dog. She is able to run and play. She is truly the happiest, silliest and most active pup. Jiggy gets along with other dogs, cats and loves humans. Jiggy is special needs and requires extra care. She is on a special prescription food which keeps her poops solid for easy clean up. She is also trained to wear diapers and overalls while she is indoors. Jiggy Jill might have been a throw away stray who nobody cared for but we want to give her the best quality life. She definitely deserves it. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Kaiser made it here all the way from Puero Rico. He is sweet and needs a foster or permanent home to see what a home feels like. He is around 55 pounds and 3 years old. Beautiful boy, is hair is coming in and he is looking so good. Spotted one evening on her way home from work. He was curled up right on the side of the road where it was almost impossible to stop. I thought he couldn't walk when I was able to come back around he was gone. He had only moved a few feet to the other side of the road in some grass. He was clearly hurt and couldn't walk far. Luckily with our current efforts to help dogs in Puerto Rico, sweet Kaiser is one of the ones who made it here to ensure he had a good life going forward. Nervous but he warmed up quickly. We look forward to ensuring this guy never has to worry about a safe place to lay his head, food or safety. He is so sweet and loving and looking forward to his happily furever after.
