Flora is a beautiful 4 year old chocolate lab mix from Hurricane Harvey. She knows a few commands such as sit, down, stay, and come. She needs a little time to get comfortable in her new surroundings and other 4 legged friends. More dominant dogs tend to tense her up. She just needs a little patience, consistency, and love. She has it in her to give back but she’s just a little scared to show it right away. Flora was found as abandoned stray neglected and in poor health. She was nursed back to health to be caught in the crosswinds of Hurricane Harvey. Luckily she made it out to Dallas where she is looking for her furever home. She is currently in training to learn some basic commands so she can be the perfect pet. We will work with you on introductions to any other dogs you may have in your home, with proper introductions and decompression time she can learn to be a great pet. So many times these dogs are the most loyal, loving companion but just takes a little time and patience in the beginning. She is a beautiful girl and derserves a chance in a wonderful home. Sweet Flora 🌼🌸🌻 is wondering where her people are? She’s in boarding, but would much rather be snuggled up on the couch next to you. Flora is oh so smart! Trainers are working with her on watch me, sit, down, come and intro to stay! Adopt Flora or you can even open your home temporarily to foster Flora while she searches for her furever home! All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Freedom is completely loving his freedom! He is so well behaved, its like he knows and is so thankful for it! Such a good dog. Freedom had no freedom. He was constrained to a small space barely room to walk around. His legs weak, his body ached, his soul broken. Many times, we're an animal's last chance. And when they come to us, we're ALL IN! Freedom has suffered enough. We named him Freedom, because this is the first time he will be unchained and loved. Just look at Freedom's pictures. Look at his nails. Look at his skin. Look at his open sores. Look at the fear and defeat in his eyes. He deserves a home that will love him unconditionally. Freedom was betrayed and released like a broken toy by his owners. Surrendered in such horrible condition that he needed immediate medical care and rescue. The animal control officer was called to the home for a animal check, what he saw was indescribable. The officer was writing a citation to the owner and to avoid the citation the owner said he will surrender him to the shelter. The animal officer said, “the shelter is full and he will be EUTHANIZED upon intake”, the owner responded “THAT'S OK”. He handed the dog over like it was nothing and walked away. This boy is amazing and has come a long way. You can't even recognize him from when we first found him. He is so grateful and sweet. We sure hope we can find him a wonderful home. He looks so great now and will be a perfect pet for a family. Goliath was found barely alive, he needed a blood transfusion to save his life after being found skin and bones and infested with fleas, ticks, and internal parasites. Goliath is a dog that will take months to get better, but we're committed to doing anything and everything for him. Poor Goliath has clearly suffered neglect for a long time. Our team in South Texas are working to get him strong so he can make the journey to Dallas. He needed a blood transfusion and plenty of rest with IV fluids. He's finally standing, and he even gave is a little tail wag! All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.
