Admiral is a handsome fellow, both blind and deaf but his handicaps do not hold him back.  He is loving and inquisitive and enjoys feeling the wind in his fur and the sun on his face.  Admiral needs a very special home. Blind and Deaf but he doesn’t let that define him! He is playful, cuddly, loving, trusting, goofy, handsome, and searching for his forever home - someone special to love him, care for him, and be patient with him. Admiral is such a good boy. He’s low maintenance and such a happy boy.  So sweet and soft and looking for his furever home! Admiral is adjusting amazingly well in his foster home, since found, in shelter, 12 hour transport he was a little confused on what was going on but with quick learning techniques from foster to help Admiral relax and get comfortable; he is thriving and loving the safe life!  He's even enjoying outside play time; playing with other resident dogs...what an amazing, resilent dog.  You would barely know he is blind; he gets around so well and has this amazing instinct. Admiral was found dumped in a yard, he looked bad at first sight, finders didn't know if someone had done this to him.  After a thorough vet check, it seems he may have been attacked by dogs.  As best we can tell he is blind and deaf, but he is sweet and adjusting very well.  He is around 4 years old and 55 pounds.   All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org. Autumn, saved in the nick of time.  Sweet little one was in loud kennel by herself about to give birth to 10 puppies.  When a saint came along to bring her home to the peace and quiet of their home for her to have her babies.  Puppies were born on October 16, 2017.  Momma took good care of her babies and all have been adopted and living the high life.  Autumn is ready to find her furever home now.  She is very sweet and calm.  She is a bit shy at first, it takes her a little time to warm up to her surrounding, we are thinking she had a pretty rough life up to her arrival in the shelter.  But with your patience and love, in turn you will get a loyal and loving companion. Autumn is around 4 years old and 45 pounds.  She is so sweet and has learned how to become a dog and enjoy life now with the comforts of a good home. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $300, dogs over 12 months is $200 and for our senior dogs $100. We got an urgent call from the shelter before close that Baby had been surrendered by her owner in the field due her condition. She was infested with fleas and flea feces covered her ears. She is a spayed,  7 yr. old black and white schnauzer; you could still see some remnants of her schnauzer cut. She had extreme hair loss due to flea dermatitis and an eye infection. One of our volunteers raced to the shelter prior to closing to save her. We were shocked when we received her medical records, they had a 2015 intake picture of her and she is gorgeous! That means she was adopted in great shape in 2015 and her condition had deteriorated recently; we do not know what happened in between. She is now in her foster home where we are getting to know her better. Her foster mom is reporting that she is just a delight. She is playful, loving and loves sitting on cushions and laps!  She doesn’t seem to mind cats and enjoys the resident dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. Once Baby is medically cleared, she will be available for adoption, so get your application in now. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.
