Hi, My name is Astrid. I am a 5 month old White German Shepherd Dog, with maybe a hint of lab in there somewhere. Who knows. I was rescued when I walked up to an office building in Houston, terrified and hoping someone helped me. I am looking for a forever home that will spoil me by: giving me toys and bones to chew on, taking me for walks, and letting me sleep upside down (it's my favorite). I love playing with other dogs, and despite my size, I have spunk and can hold my own against my foster brothers and sisters who are much bigger than I am. I would like an adopter that will contine working with me on training and manners. I am learning them now, and doing pretty well. My foster momma wants to make sure I know how to behave like a lady should. By knowing how to behave, I will make a great addition to any home. I get along well with other dogs. I haven't really met cats yet, but I have heard the command "leave it" before, so I guess that's what you do with them. I am up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Our adoption process begins with an Adoption Application (which you can do by clicking the blue ADOPT button above). Personal references, vet reference, and a home visit are required to complete the adoption process. Adoption fees are due at the time of adoption. Application to adopt does not guarantee adoption or approval. show less

Hi, My name is Burkhart, which means "brave protection". I am a 6 month old Black and Tan German Shepherd Dog. I was rescued from north Louisiana where I was in a shelter, and got sick with Parvo. I survived, and the staff knew that if I went back to the shelter, I would very likely die. That's when Sauver Des Chiens stepped in. Before them, I never knew love or how to be a dog. I was terrified (still am pretty scared) and hadn't had much human interaction. My foster mom has been very patient with me, showing me the joys of life and puppyhood and I'm starting to come around. I'm not sure about this thing she keeps putting on me called a leash. It's kinda scary. But she insists we use it. I am looking for a forever home that will spoil me by: being slow and patient with me. My past has scared me and I will need some time to get comfortable and recover in new situations. I am up to date on vaccines, will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Our adoption process begins with an Adoption Application (which you can do by clicking the blue ADOPT button above). Hi, My name is Mercy. You've probably heard of me before. I am a 1-2 year old Black and Tan German Shepherd Dog. I was rescued after I was dumped out of a car at a gas station in southwest Houston. The Dodo did a story on my rescue. A car pulled up, kicked me out, and left. I went up to many people begging for help and I don't understand why it took so long for someone to help me. Thankfully one of the ladies that saw me knew she had to do something, so she called rescues and Sauver Des Chiens saved me. I love every human I meet, in fact, my rescuers joke that I have "never met a stranger". I love when people pet me, and I love to go for walks. I am looking for a forever home that will spoil me by: taking me for walks (or runs) and giving me lots of toys to play with. I love car rides, I ride quietly and peacefully. I won't disturb you. I am not nervous or scared around tiny humans, but cats and tiny dogs are another story. I should only be placed in a home with other dogs my size or bigger. Small dogs are just too much temptation for me. My last foster knew she could trust me and was able to leave me loose in the house and I never tore anything up. I am crate trained, though. I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Our adoption process begins with an Adoption Application (which you can do by clicking the blue ADOPT button above). Hi, My name is Miracle. I am a 2 year old Black Lab Mix. I may not be a German Shepherd, but I was rescued by one of the German Shepherd board members, so they call me an "honorary GSD". You see, I was terrified and all alone on the streets of Houston. I could feel the weather getting worse, and someone said a storm was brewing in. I saw a paramedic and asked her for help... that's what you're supposed to do, right? First responders help... Boy am I glad I did. She scooped me up and took me in, and the next day HURRICANE HARVEY hit. I am so glad I wasn't outside for that! But yes, you read that right, Hurricane Harvey, which was a year ago. I've been in foster care for a year! I need my forever home! I am looking for a forever home that will spoil me with a nice yard where I can lay in the sun (hey, a girl has to keep her tan going...) and run and play. I love squeaky toys and stuffed toys. And I am a fan of cramming myself into the small dogs' beds! I am super affectionate and sweet, and I love to play with other dogs. I do not like cats though, I try to chase them. I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Our adoption process begins with an Adoption Application ( https://www.petstablished.com/adoptio…/personal-information… ).
