About PIE

Pie is a smart, playful young dog who is having a hard time coping with life in a kennel. She loves running around in a yard or going on long exploration hikes. She can Sit for treats and seems really house-trained. She loves to chase toys (but hasn`t figured out how to fetch yet, can you teach her??)

My StoryI am a gentleman who loves to go out on a walk, but I dont need to get anywhere too quickly. I love to have a good time and play, but Im ok with just hanging out if thats more of your thing. I have been at my current place for about 6 months now and Im really looking for a change of scenery. I know a couple of commands in Korean and I am very good at sit. How many dogs do you know that are bilingual? Also, have you seen my eyebrows? Handsome huh?My Perfect MatchMy last relationship ended after 5 years so I am really looking for somewhere to call home again. A dog bed, a couple of toys and someone to show off my amazing qualities to would be ideal. Also, if you are up for it, I really enjoy a good back/butt scratch. My Ideal DateIm a pretty laid back guy so I would love a quiet stroll through the national park while we enjoy the company of one another. We could keep it low key and go back home to watch the game and relax with a cold one afterwards, or we could stay out and see the sights and picnic. I will also say that ending the date with a few kisses is probably a given.Send me a message if youd like to share your home with me. Of course Im up for a long-term place to call home, but if a short-term foster commitment is more your thing I can be flexible.***Want to learn more about this sweet boy? Birdie is one of our favorite dogs! Just read what all her volunteer fans have to say about her!`LOVE this girl!! Birdie just makes me laugh, especially when she`s so anxious for a belly rub she hardly lets me leash her up!! Birdie is very affectionate and a joy to walk. She takes treats gently and is so happy to be with me every time I see her. She loves the play yard, although much of the time she just wants to snuggle and get her belly rubbed! A sweetheart!!``During her ride to Fox News, Birdie was calm in the car. On set, Birdie politely greeted the anchor and producer, and sat quietly on the couch next to me during her segment. She was very treat motivated and offered her belly for rubs. Here is a link to her well-mannered Pet of the Week spot: http://www.fox7austin.com/good-day/302239460-video ``Birdie went on a group hike to McKinney Falls and was a perfect walking companion. She needed help loading into my car and did some whining on the drive but rode nicely. At the park she was friendly to all people and non-reactive to all the dogs on the walk (8 dogs total). We kept a distance between dogs, but she never pulled, barked or was bothered by nearby dogs. She thoroughly enjoyed the walk in nature and was truly an absolute pleasure to be with on our outing.`Here are some lovely words that people have used to describe our beautiful Birdie!- Happy- Friendly- Affectionate- Playful- Fun- Fabulous! show less

Bruno arrived at the shelter after being found on the side of the road, in a wire crate, in the middle of the summer. Understandably, he was very scared and non-trusting of humans.Fast forward a few months, and Bruno has come such a long way! With time, patience, and LOTS of treats, Bruno is learning to trust people. He is slowly but surely coming out of his shell, and is having tons of fun just getting to be a dog!Bruno needs a calm, patient owner who understands that the first few years of his life probably werent the best. He needs someone to continue to build his trust in humans, to teach him what its like to live in a home, to feel safe, and to love him for the big ole goofball that he is!Bruno would do best in a low-traffic household. At this time, he needs to decompress in a home with no other pets and no small children. So if you are in the market for a big ole meatball who loves to go on walks and then snuggle up on the couch for some Netflix, please reach out to us at orangedotcrew@gmail.com.Bruno has also been accepted into a two week board and train program but he needs a foster/adopter lined up first so he doesnt come back to the shelter and lose his new skills. He will also go home with a harness, additional training voucher, and all the support and guidance you need from his friends in the Orange Dot Crew! A letter from Daisy`s foster mom:`Daisy is by far my favorite foster ever. I cannot keep her, but I hope to find her a fantastic home where she can live out her days happily and loved.Daisy loves people and seeks affection from anyone she meets. Daisy likes to lean against her people or sit down on their feet to make sure that theyre as close as possible. Daisy also likes to bury her head against her people to feel completely submerged in their affection. Daisy also has a very enthusiastic wag, it takes over her entire body and she seems a bit befuddled as to why she cant walk straight. Daisy is generally a low energy dog but she enjoys a bit of energetic play time each morning and evening. She loves her rope toys and will play with them by herself (tossing, shaking, and chewing) or with her people (playing tug). She also enjoys chewing on tennis balls. For treats, Daisys most favorite treat is the bully stick, but shes treat motivated and is willing to try anything once (and most things more often).Daisy rarely barks but will alert bark if a stranger comes on the property. When shes just hanging around the house, Daisy has a lot to say, she has a wide variety of grunts, grumbles, guffaws and other quiet vocalizations that she uses to talk to her people.Daisy has good house manners and is fully house trained. Shes also crate trained, enjoys napping in her crate often during the day, and is trustworthy when left alone uncrated.Daisy has lived with another dog in the past, but shes selective about her dog friends so a meet and greet is recommended. Shes a Classic Canine so she comes with lots of extra love and support. Daisy is suitable for particularly big-hearted adopters who can look past the physical imperfections that make her look like she fell out of the bottom of the ding and dent bin. On the inside, shes a beautiful dog. On the outside, shes missing half an ear, has kinked tail, and a loose undercarriage from nursing many puppies. Any adopter who can look past that will see that Daisy is a gem.`If you want to meet Daisy and learn more, email caring@classiccanines.org show less

People are Mamas` favorite. She wants to always be nearest them if she can and her favorite pastime is napping at her owner`s feet. Mamas enjoys long walks and even occasional jogs. When she visits a dog-friendly restaurant or bar, she will likely position herself in the best spot to meet the most people. She has even been known to walk up to perfect strangers at other tables to nap at their feet. Mamas has never met a person she didn`t like and the kids on her street know her by name because she is so gentle, warm, and loving towards them (gives lots of kisses). She has even done well at the office, too! She has never had an accident inside the home and she asks for permission before joining you on the bed or couch. She doesn`t bark much and doesn`t have an overwhelming presence (jumping on people, getting rowdy when guests enter the home). That`s not to say she doesn`t have a warm welcome when her owner walks in the door. She does laps around the house when her caretaker arrives home after a day of work to show her excitement that you have finally made it home. Overall, Mamas is a wonderful companion and would be the perfect touch to a home that is missing a little extra love and personality! It remains a mystery as to why someone hasn`t adopted her yet! Percival is looking for his forever home! Here`s what his foster family has to say about him:`Percival is the sweetest and most handsome, 65lb (maybe more) lap-dog you would ever meet. He is super affectionate and has to be touching you at all time, and that doesn`t always mean petted. He will just sit AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to you on the couch. That is his happy place. We are learning that he loves to play fetch and tug-of-war and has the back legs of a Kangaroo. He can jump SO HIGH although he is not all that graceful. Lol. He is a little talkative in the mornings when we all first wake up together, asking when breakfast will be ready. He has NEVER had an accident in the house while with us. He always lets you know that he needs to go outside.Percy loves car rides! This is when you really get to see pure joy in is face. He will stick his head out the winder, big flappy lips flailing in the wind and the BIGGEST smile on his face. When we pull up to another car on the road, you can see bright smiles on those passengers faces when they catch a glimpse of Percy catching wind.Percival is a wonderful pup with the biggest heart. It has been an absolute pleasure having him over these last few months.`If you want to meet his handsome gentlemen and see for yourself how amazing he is, you can reach out to his foster mom Amanda at duhgeorge@yahoo.com or text/call at 817-770-2458 show less
