About Poochi the Wampa **SPECIAL NEEDS**

**Please only apply if you are able to care for a special needs pet. Poochi must adhere to a strict diet and medication regimen and regular vet visits because of liver disease.**

Poochi is a very special girl. She's bright and happy and very full of herself. She's very selective with her friends and would really prefer to be your only pet so that she can have you all to herself. Likewise, she wouldn't want to share you with children. Poochi can be a bit of a diva, so we believe she would be more suited to a dog-experienced home who can both tend to her diva needs and not allow her to rule the roost.

Poochi has cirrhosis of the liver and it is essential to her continued health that she eat only prescription dog food, take her medicines twice daily, and visit the vet at least twice a year for regular examinations. No people food or treats for this girl! Luckily she responds to kisses and pets as rewards. Please contact PAWS staff for more information on Poochi's medical condition.

Name: Poochi the Wampa

Location: Grays Ferry Clinic (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.)

Breed: Poodle/llama mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label)

Age: 1-2 years old

Weight: 9 pounds

Reason for surrender to shelter: Poochi was found as a stray.
