Daphne definitely had a hard start to life. After living in the backyard of a house for over a year with her “family”, the former owner left her when he moved, leaving her without food for over a week. Thankfully, the couple who purchased the house to flip found her and immediately could see she was starving and suffering from demoted mange. Luckily they had dogs of their own and happened to have some treats in the car. They gave her some treats and scooped her up in their car to take her straight to a vet and then to their home. After some fattening up and with her fur growing back in, Daphne is nothing but the best dog. She is still incredibly trusting and loving towards humans despite her prior treatment. She is a sweet, easygoing girl who is good with people and dogs alike, including dogs smaller than her. Daphne is house trained, crate trained and knows the commands "sit" and "come". She's extremely eager to please and picks up on training cues quickly. Daphne would love to be in a home where she is loved and taken care of. She is appreciative of every drop of affection she gets and enjoys life and being with people. Want to give Daphne the second chance she deserves?
