Milli is an adult dog full of happiness and energy! She often has big open-mouth smile and a bouncy walk. When she was in foster, her foster mom said: "Milli is just over the moon whenever she sees me come home - her hobbies include licking people she likes, being brushed, and initiating play time. She seems to be more motivated by petting and praise than by food!"
Milli is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm - her adopters would give her a monthly pill and lots of rest over the next 3-6 months! While she is in treatment, she needs to avoid cardio, (like running, tug, and intense dog play). As an energetic dog, she will want longer walks and increased exercise after she recovers.
She came to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. She grew up with younger children and dogs, and would be a suitable choice for adopters with children or other dogs. She seems to be housetrained and crate trained.
