Abbott was born in May of 2011, in the attic of a home in Sherman Oaks, CA. He and his brothers were only around 4 or 5 weeks-old, at the time. They had fallen through the floor and landed behind a wall in the living room! The homeowners ended up cutting an opening in the wall to get them out! Although Abbott received the same amount of socialization and play time, as his brothers, he never fully tamed and remained on the shy, scared side. When it comes to the other male cats, in the house however, Abbott is probably the most popular... always in the center of the attention. All the others love to play, wrestle, cuddle and sleep with Abbott! This handsome fella is playful, smart, and affectionate with a coat that's shiny like silk. His build is lean and muscular. Abbott is also very social around his favorite human (me) and LOVES to jump on to the bed to play with stringy toys. Once he gets going, he plays with complete abandon. His weakness is freeze-dried Chicken treats and will gently eat them from your finger tips or even your lips. But if he thinks you're going to touch or pick him up he may run. He knows his name and communicates like any other cat - that's connected to a human... except in the areas of touch. Please... won't you give this deserving boy a loving home? He'd make an excellent companion for another friendly, playful, young male (or two). *The video uploaded was shot when he was still a young kitten... but you can see how sweet and gentle he is. ~ $125. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $200. for a pair! ~ We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Please keep in mind that kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. They will get lonely being left alone for many hours. Having a companion will keep your cat/kitten happy, healthy and out of trouble. We offer a discount when adopting a pair! Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Local rescues and shelters are being flooded with kittens right now! PLEASE help spread awareness on the importance of SPAY/NEUTER! Thanks! show less

Looking for the purrfect little brother to your friendly male cat? Crosby's your cat's newest, bestie!! This boy's like the little brother who's always saying, "whatcha' doin'? Can I play? Can I, huh?" He will demonstrate this with head butts, following them around like a shadow, and get plenty of grooming and cuddle time in. Crosby is sweet, gentle, highly social, and playful but he never fully tamed up, even though his two litter mates, did (Hope and Lamour). There are, definitely, times when he'll allow you to pet him, usually when he hops in to bed and lies his body across yours OR when another confident male is nearby... especially during dinner time, He's quirky this way, suddenly he'll drop at your feet in complete surrender and other times act like he's a house feral. Regarding his physical stature; Crosby is oh, so handsome with a thick, lush, soft coat! If you need to hold him for a claw trimming he's fine, just coils up like a Caterpillar, as long as you don't make any sudden moves. Please, won't you consider giving this handsome, shy fella a loving home with you and your other male cat(s)? He so badly needs of good, loving home of his very own! Additionally, Crosby has been: * Neutered, * Micro chipped, * Combo-tested (for FIV/FeLV), * Vaccinated (FVRCP current), * Flea and Mite treated (with Revolution), * De-wormed (with Strongid, Droncit), * And given a clean bill of health! ~ $125. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / ($200 for a pair) ~ *Video of Crosby having fun and frolicking with his pals may be furnished upon request. ;) show less

Murphy is one of the sweetest, most gentle, affectionate, little love monkeys I've ever had the pleasure of rescuing. When he was first impounded at Moreno Valley Shelter, he was in bad shape: having been attacked by another animal. He was missing fur on his head, face, and had a severe bite wound on his left, front paw. It was so badly abscessed that the shelter vet was recommending amputation. Then, when his hold period was up he was scheduled for euthanization! Well, fortunately, for BOTH of us; someone contacted me through Facebook and we were able to save him, with, literally, five minutes to spare. He went, directly, to a vet office in Huntington Beach where he stayed for 5 days. His wounds began to heal but that vet still wasn't sure if amputation was needed. I looked, closely, at the photos of his injuries and had a feeling... a really GOOD feeling... that his leg could be saved. Fast forward ahead: when he first arrived here, with me, he was very shut down, lethargic, wouldn't make eye contact. I knew he was still in pain but he was also on some strong pain meds and had already put on a full pound since he first arrived at the shelter. I gently picked him up and held him in my arms - like a baby. I sat on the floor with him - for over an hour - just grooming his face, massaging his legs, paws and body, and speaking to him in gentle, lilting tones. Suddenly, he got up, stretched, walked over to the water bowl and began drinking... and drinking... and drinking!! It was as if, in that very moment, he had decided he wanted to live. I think poor Murphy needed LOVE and TLC more than he needed medicine at that point. From that moment forward, he began greeting me when I walked in the room, rubbing up against my legs, and when I'd sit down, he sit at my feet and stretch his arms up - like he wanted me to pick him up. That's now become our "thing". He LOVES to cuddle in your lap, give gentle head bumps, receive fully body massages and has even learned to eat treats from my finger tips. This boy is a DIAMOND in the ROUGH!!! And, I suspect, as he continues to heal, he'll only become more and more beautiful. He's got a few war wounds - most apparent on his ears. But if you can overlook such minor, cosmetic flaws, you, too, will fall under Murphy's spell!! Additionally, Murphy has been: * Neutered, * Vaccinated (FVRCP), * Vaccinated (Rabies), * Combo-tested (for FIV/FeLV), * Flea and Mite treated (with Revolution), * De-wormed (with Strongid, Droncit), * Micro chipped, * And given a clean bill of health! ~ $125. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / ($200 for a pair) ~ Please note: we do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home. Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. We offer a discount when adopting a pair! show less
