Adopt Bella

Female Labrador Retriever

Snipsa stepped up to a rescue call when a smaller black dog named Bella started giving birth in the lobby of an area shelter. Six babies later and now this little mama is ready for her forever family.

Bella is a charmer. If you are looking for an affectionate companion, Bella is your girl. Yes we know she is plain - may suffer a little from the black dog syndrome- but her personality will make up for it. She will kennel quite easily and loves hanging indoors. She appears housebroken and needs a secure yard as she has a small wanderlust about her. She doesn't stray far and is the type of dog that will follow you around the property. She is intelligent and learning how to walk on a leash. Bella is also fabulous with kids.

So if we have sold you on this sweet girl's personality- look no further. She is a great catch! Mamas deserve a home too. Fill out an application at

Shelter Description

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
