Meet Rainey! Although this girl was a shelter stray dog, she has clearly been somebody’s pet. She knows how to sit and loves to play. She’s very affectionate and loves being around people, and gets so excited when her people come home!
Rainey is an athletic pup, and will chase and retrieve a ball until her people give up…but she never does! She walks well on leash with a prong collar, but tends to get excited when passing a strange dog. She also reacts to the doorbell and strange noises outside, but her behavior improves once she's acclimated to her surroundings. Her new family will need to be attentive to her energy and need for affection! Regular exercise will be necessary for this strong and healthy girl! She is housebroken and crate trained, and will rest quietly while in her crate.
Rainey hasn’t met any kids or cats yet. She interacts well with the dogs in her foster home, after a proper introduction, but can be reactive when meeting new dogs. She may do best as an only pet in her new home, or share the home with a submissive dog. One thing’s for sure, she’s never met a stranger when it comes to people! She shows her excitement by wiggling not just her tail but her whole butt!
