Porsche demonstrates everything good about her breed: she is playful, affectionate, attentive to people, great with kids, and great with other dogs and cats too. Porsche originally came to us from a kill shelter in Lancaster as a young mother, and she successfully raised her Car Puppies (all named after cars like her). After over 5 years in a home, she was sadly returned through no fault of her own due to unsuitable accommodations. As of June 2018, Porsche is a well-adjusted lady who is 8 and a half years young, and still stealing hearts left and right! Porsche is currently enjoying life in a foster home and the feedback from her foster family has been overwhelmingly positive since day one. Anyone who has met this lovely lady can attest to the fact that Porsche is so incredibly sweet and gentle. She is housebroken, is a huge cuddler, likes to sleep in bed next to you, is very obedient, has no food or toy aggression, and very rarely pulls or tugs during walks. 50-pound Porsche gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even a baby opossum. She is quite affectionate and loves to be touched - no special spots - just as long as you have your hands on her, she goes into a trance of tranquility. Porsche is great in crowds, and is fantastic with strangers and children alike. According to her foster mom, Porsche likes to be near her at all times, except when she fell in love with a friend’s 74-year-old mother and was drawn to her side instead. Porsche takes food and treats gently, and simply glows whenever she is praised. Sometimes she likes to act silly and roll around on her back, and she gets the zoomies, which is always hilarious and quite entertaining. Despite her age, she is still a spry pup and can bound around and jump up high like the best of them. She is not a barker, and loves when company arrives - even the mailman. On top of it all, Porsche knows all her basic commands, including roll-over. The only thing better than her amazing temperament is her gorgeous smile. If Porsche sounds pretty darn perfect, that’s because she is!
