Sweet Blaise! This handsome lad is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix, who is enjoying his new leash on life after being rescued from a local shelter. He is currently in a foster home where he is slowly learning how to be a family pet and feel comfortable in secure surroundings.
This sweet boy is slowly learning what it is like to be in a home where humans are friends, and meeting and being around people is a positive experience. Blaise can be shy at first, just keeping his eye on things from a distance where he can take in the view. At his own pace he will eventually ease into sniffing, and coming closer to his foster family's side, and relax. It’s clear he lacked a loving home in the past.
While his past is unknown, a very patient, quiet and caring home would suit this little guy best. Blaise currently is doing his best to learn basic commands and work on his house breaking. When he feels like it, he will jump on to the couch and quietly lay by your side and enjoy some petting. Fortunately there is another dog in his foster home who he likes to play with a bit, helping build his confidence.
Blaise doesn't seem to mind being in his crate, is content to chew on a bone here and there, and likes running around in the yard for play time! He is non-reactive to children and cats, but a quiet calm household is where he will benefit the most.
If you have a strong will, nurturing side, and big heart, Blaise will flourish with you. He has all the potential in the world, and time on his side. He is young, smart, and listens. He is showing promise, and this is just the start of his happy-ever-after!
If you think you’d be the perfect match, then apply to adopt Blaise!
