Adopt Wilma

Female Domestic Shorthair

Wilma is an adorable kitty around 2 or 3 years old. The Animal Medical Center contacted us about Wilma, who was brought to their hospital as a stray by a good samaritan. The doctors think she was hit by a car because her left hind limb had an open fracture (bone protruding out) on the lower end of the limb. The doctor says:

"This kitty is an approximately 2-3yo F(suspected spayed) DSH who presented to our hospital as a stray with a left hind limb injury (open distal tibia/fibula fracture) after being HBC (hit by car). The fracture was repaired by our surgery department and she is in the recovery period now and doing quite well. Recovery involves at least 6 weeks of cage rest (2 weeks down) and then repeat radiographs. She may always have a bit of a limp on the leg but otherwise currently seems happy-she is eating well and is very sweet."

She is currently in foster with a staff member of the hosital, and is doing very well!

Shelter Description

We are a unique rescue, aiming to appeal to people who typically buy from pet stores and breeders. We want to promote adoption in a positive and fun way. We have the same goal as other shelters- to find homeless dogs and cats their forever homes, but we want to change the stigma some people have towards shelters and its animals by creating a chic place that people will want to go to.
We are always on the lookout for animal lovers who are interested in fostering our pets. Please contact us if you would like to assist us with this or other volunteer opportunities.
