Hello, Gorgeous! This beautiful girl is named Sophia! Sophia is an approximately 10 year old all-white Domestic Shorthair who was surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter when her life-long family had to relocate and could not bring her along. Luckily, Sophia's story did not end in the overcrowded shelter. Instead, she found a loving City of Elderly Love foster home and is now ready to land her new forever home!
Sophia's personality is just as beautiful as she is. Look at that little pink button nose! She's a purring monster and will cuddle you like its her job. She loves meeting new people and you'll find her curled up in your lap or by your feet in bed before you realize what's happening (sneaky!). She also really likes birdwatching from a perch by the window. She's a relaxed gal but can be very playful and enjoys throwing her mouse toys around and chasing feathers. Her favorite thing is to cuddle and will sleep in the human bed every night. She knows the value of sleeping in, but she will be right there when you wake up so she can get her morning cuddles. She's very quiet except for her purr, which is loud and strong! She would be a great pet for a small house or apartment.
Sophia is currently living with other cats and dogs, but is pretty scared of her canine foster siblings. We think she'd be happiest in a home without them or with dogs who are used to living with cats and who will give her space. She gets along with other cats, but doesn't care to interact too much so would also be happy to be your one and only! Sophia came to the shelter front-declawed.
Sophia is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She weighs around 9 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV and FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her?
