GROTON, CT *** LUCY is a 1 year old beauty who is sweet as pie! At 38 lbs., she is a petite pittie girl who was lucky enough to find a very loving foster family to take her in. Here is what they had to say about Lucy: "Sweet little Lucy is a little bitty package full of love and affection. Through no fault of her own she found herself in the Brooklyn shelter and just 12 days later was on the At Risk list because she got kennel cough. Thankfully Amsterdog was able to save her so we could foster her. June 29 th she was saved, June 30 th I picked her up. From that day on she has brought us nothing but joy. When I walked up to her to meet her that little tail was wagging nonstop. She came right up to me and sat nicely waiting for me to pet her. When I knelt down to say hello I was showered with kisses. She was excellent on the car ride home. When we got home my friend and I gave her a bath and again she was a perfect angel. She met several people the first 2 days at my house and was sweet and friendly to everyone she met, no timidness at all, just tail wags and kisses. We go on nightly walks and she is wonderful on leash. She will sometimes walk ahead of you but never pulls…unless she sees a bird ? When we’re inside Lucy wants nothing more than to snuggle with you. She’s the best cuddler! If she had her way I think she would just sit and cuddle with you all day ? She knows sit and will come up to and immediately sit without even giving the command. Lucy wants nothing more than to please and shower you with affection. And as you can see from her pictures she loves doing photo sessions ? Because she is still recovering from kennel cough, we have not been able to introduce her to our dogs yet. She has seen them from a distance and displays no negative reaction. She just seems excited to meet them. I will update once we have had a chance to do introductions. I am so happy we were able to save this little bundle of joy. Whoever has the privilege of adopting sweet little Lucy will be a very lucky family. In her short time with us she has brought us so much happiness." Lucy is spayed, up to date on shots, and micro chipped too.
