This special boy is Red, because his coat is a beautiful shade of, well, red! He is beautiful in person as he has a slight brindle in his coat that is just gorgeous.
Red is currently in obedience training as he is a bit of a mischievous one! He's a known counter surfer and has been known to swipe a slice of pizza, or two, when no one is looking! He also like, bananas, or broccoli or anything else he can get off the counter!
Red is a Plott Hound/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He's about a year and a half old and weighs 50 lbs.
He would be better as an only dog, because he gets possessive of his human, which we are trying to correct in training. He would also be better in a home with kids that are a little bit older and bigger as he can be pretty rambunctious, since he's still kind of a puppy with all that energy.
He would make someone a great, loyal, walking or running buddy. Maybe you!

Houston Homeless Pet Project
Houston Homeless Pet Project ("HHPP")is a core group of dedicated dog rescue volunteers who, between us, have over 50 years of experience in rescue in the Houston metro area. We are the rescue of last resort for those good Samaritans who find homeless dogs and are just trying to help. We are also the rescue of last resort for those hopeless animals that find themselves out of time at local shelters.
We provide rescue care, rehabilitative services, foster care and adoption placement to abandoned and stray dogs in the Houston metro area.
HHPP is an all-volunteer, foster based rescue. We don't have a shelter and rely on foster homes to provide our rescues with warm, loving home environments until they can adopted by permanent families.
