MaleLhasa Apso /Poodle (Miniature)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Zac is a 3 year old, 11 pound, Lhasa-Poodle mix.

This boy has been happy from day one. He came to us out of an animal shelter. His family did not come looking for him and he was overlooked by the public. Not sure why as when we found him, his front feet were up on the bars of the kennel wagging his tail, very excited that we stopped by to say hello! Needless to say, he came home with us that day!

Zac has great energy. Enjoys spending time with the family. Loves walks on the leash and rides in the car. He would enjoy long or short walks, maybe some hiking, outdoor dining and what ever other activities that he could spend with his family. We have not had him around children, but feel that dog experienced kids of at least 10 years old would be fine.

Zak has spent some time with dogs in his foster home. He loves to be the king, so would most likely do well with other dogs that are submissive, or are not threatened by his exuberance. He would probably do really well with a dog that loves to play with other dogs.

He met the cat in his foster home. He was very interested, but didn't growl or bark. He might chase a cat that is fearful of dogs, but would also probably play with a cat that enjoyed the companionship of a dog.

Zak's coat has been shaved short, but it will continue to grow and will need regular grooming appointments to keep him tidy. He should have little to no shedding.

Shelter Description

We have been helping homeless animals since 1997. We are contacted by animal shelters for help in placing dogs that have been missed by the public for a variety of reasons. Other rescue partners that we have close contacts with, also contact us for assistance in helping dogs that they may not have room for. Last, but certainly not least, some folks just get in a bind and simply can not keep their dog any longer, for any number of reasons. If we feel we can help, we will.

We have wonderful volunteers and always welcome new additions to our rescue family.
