Fannie is a 1 ½ year old female Jack Russell Terrier. She was found running around a south Texas convenience store one night. She was bleeding in several spots because she was chewed to pieces with fleas and ticks, was missing most of her hair, and what hair she did have was absolutely black with filth. She was also bloated with every kind of worm imaginable. She is now healthy and happy. She is a very low heartworm positive and we are going to treat that with a Heartgard each month. Her activities are not restricted because of the heartworms. Fannie is a perfectly shaped and balanced Jack Russell. She is only about 11 inches at the shoulder and weighs 11 pounds. She is a perfect little gem of a dog. Like most Jack Russells she is not going to get along very well with other females and she definitely does not like cats or any other little critters. She loves to snoop around in the yard and enjoys playing in the water and if there is mud she will get in it! There are several little male dogs in her foster home and she loves playing with them. After what Fannie has been through she deserves the best home in the world.
Fannie's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting her please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt Fannie. She requires a home with no kids, no cats, and no other female dogs. We will not adopt Fannie out of state.
