About

Libby is something special... Libby came into the shelter as a stray. We were told she had been shot with a BB gun and needed medical attention. We pulled her and took her right away to find out where the BBs were located and see about having them removed. We were shocked at the xrays, this poor sweet little dog was completely riddled with Pellets from a shotgun blast thru out her body. Someone had purposely shot her, it was hard to wrap our heads around how someone could be so cruel to such a loving, sweet little girl.

Libby has had several surgeries removing as many pieces of lead as was safe to remove without doing any other damage. You sure couldn't tell she was mistreated because her trust in humans is still there. She is playful and energetic and would be an amazing addition to an active family looking for endless love.

We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover, so you know everything there is to know before finalizing the adoption.

Adoption Fees for puppies under 6 months old: $225

Shelter Description

Our mission is to dramatically improve the lives of shelter and rescue animals, to assist in urgent rescue situations and to implement resources to help in the aid of these animals. We rescue from death row at high kill shelters and help them have happy lives in their furever homes.

Shelter Driving Directions

Please note: We are not a shelter. We do not have a kennel or facility that you can visit and see all the Animals. Each Animal is fostered in an individual home. So, you cannot come visit our animals until you have gone through the application and brief phone interview process and then we will schedule a meet and greet with the animal and their foster parents. Then the next step would be a 1 week sleepover, so before finalizing we can all make sure it's a perfect fit. We are all volunteers and do this in our spare time, we do not have set "hours" and we answer all calls and emails as quickly as we can. Thank you so much for your interest in our FUR Babies!

Areas Served

We rescue animals in Northeast Florida, including Putnam County, Bradford County, Clay County, St. Johns County and Duval County.

Adoption Instructions

We require a written application, references and a home check prior to adoption. If you're interested in a foster-to-adopt, we are very flexible.
