Adopt Rubin 0485

Male Labrador Retriever

Rubin is a smart boy who has a lot energy. He is exceptionally fond of adolescents (especially those who like to run and play), and will readily snuggle up with you. When Rubin runs, he looks as is he may be part greyhound or whippet. Rubin knows how to sit, lay down, and shake. He can also climb a four foot chain-link fence. Rubin can walk or run well on a leash, but needs daily outdoor exercise or playtime to release his energy. Rubin has shown that he can get along well with big dogs. He does like to chase the occasional squirrel, so he may not do well with smaller dogs or cats. Rubin will occasionally make wrestling noises when playing with other dogs, so he may not do well with a dominant or nervous dog.

Shelter Description

Animal Rescue Movement (ARM) was established in 1993 by Jeanne Dixon. We are a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization in the Jacksonville and Northeast Florida area.

ARM rescues abused, injured, unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats from local shelters and streets. For these animals, being rescued is the difference between life and death, as most of these loving pets would otherwise face certain death due to pet overpopulation and overcrowding in our local shelters. We rescue mixed breed as well as purebred animals. Once rescued, ARM provides food, proper medical care, spay/neuter and all necessary vaccinations.
