Adopt maxwell

Male Domestic Shorthair

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

closest thing to a lion in your back yard

Max really needs a home where he can be indoor/outdoor!!!
He was taken in by our rescue when his owner had to be hospitalized and could no longer care for him.
Max is used to being a solo cat with his own back yard and he is happiest when he can live like this. He is like a dog when outdoors-- likes to help you with any projects, get pets and loving  then go grab a snack. He is a lover--- likes to hang out on your lap and  loves to play !! He is a hunter-- loves to play with the treat ball and look for his food that way. He has lots of energy and  looks so regal when he is looking down from a tree branch or high perch
He is being fostered right now where there is a dog that goes into the yard that does not like stange cats-- so Max is not in his perfect place yet
He will tolerate other cats but needs to be the king!

How To Adopt Me! is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
