Fry is named after the legendary Hayden Fry, as his foster parents are both Iowa transplants. Fry is a handsome boy with lots of spunk! When his humans come home from work he is very excited to see them and stretch his legs. He’s enjoying home life after being rescued from a local shelter.
Fry’s favorite activity is being outside. He loves standing under the tree or laying on the deck monitoring the yard for squirrels. He is also very smart and his foster parents look forward to teaching him tricks. Fry also loves food, and has already learned when it's breakfast and supper time. Fry currently lives with two other dogs (one big and one small), whom he gets along well with. He also does great with kids!
Fry is housebroken, and is working on crate training; and spends his nights in his kennel with no issues. He is also great walking on a leash with a prong collar and is learning to “heal”. Being an athletic lab, Fry would be great for any active, outdoor-loving family!

Fry is available for pre-adoption only at this time, as he is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is a non-contagious and treatable condition in dogs, but is fatal if left untreated.
