AdoptBogey Boggs

MaleAmerican Staffordshire Terrier /Boxer

**Bogey is currently being fostered in Houston. His local area adoption fee, with local area pick up, is $300. He is fully vetted and healthy. Because caring for the dogs is so expensive, the adoption donation is non-negotiable.**

Bogey was found wandering in the streets with a badly injured hip. It took some Good Samaritan’s a few days to convince him to come into the safety of rescue where he was treated for a dislocated hip and tail, most likely sustained after being hit by a car. His saviors raised the money to pay for his surgery and now he is healthy and ready to take on his new forever life.

Bogey is an older gentleman, we think he is around 7 years old, and shows the signs of nobody really caring for him much during his life. Despite maybe not having the best start in life, he is loving, loyal, and so very happy. He is currently about 60 pounds.

Bogey currently lives with another big dog who he loves to play tug with. After a good game of tug, it’s time for a nap in the warm sunshine. Being an older guy, his activity level is not super high, but he should still be placed with a family who plans to keep him active and getting plenty of exercise.

Bogey should be adopted by a family who understands that he will take time and patience as he acclimates into his new life. He may have accidents, chew on things he is not supposed to, and bark in his kennel. It can take dogs a few weeks to properly acclimate to their new lives, so he is seeking a family that can give him this time and work with him on becoming an even more awesome dog than he already is.

Bogey should be adopted by a family who plans to keep him indoors as part of a family - we do not adopt dogs into situations in which they will be left outside for extended periods of time unattended (for example, the entire work day).

Bogey is fully vetted (neutered, shots, microchip) and has no known health or allergy issues.

Shelter Description

Reggie’s Friends was founded out of our love for helping dogs. Living in a city of 1.2 million homeless animals, there was rarely a day when we didn’t see a dog in need of help. Instead of just wanting to do something, we figured out how to do something! Reggie’s Friends is dedicated to the health and welfare of dogs in and around the greater Houston, TX area. We focus our attention on helping shelter dogs, street dogs, and dogs who have been abandoned in boarding facilities find loving, forever families.

Areas Served

We are based out of Houston, Texas and our team supports adoptions over the whole state of Texas.

Adoption Instructions

Our adoption process begins with an adoption application and a home visit. Once an applicant is approved, an adoption contract and fee are required before the dog can join their new family.
