Being a mom is hard! Momma Shawna has been a fantastic mother to her seven puppies these last eight weeks. But boy, is she ready for a break! This sweet girl is ready for the next phase of her life. She wants to be footloose and fancy free with her very own loving family.
Shawna is an incredibly sweet girl that just adores people. She loves to roll over for belly rubs and nothing makes her happier than getting lots of love and attention from people. The volunteers have fallen in love with Shawna as she’s raised her tiny puppies. Her attentiveness and adoration for her puppies was inspiring. But now she’s ready for fun with her own family with to have all the attention focused on her!
Shawna walks well on a leash, but could use some additional training, as we don’t think she’s really had any in her prior life. We also don’t know how she does with other dogs because she’s been too busy raising puppies. But we do think that with her sweet disposition and fun personality, that she would likely enjoy a well-mannered, confident and considerate playmate as she enters the next phase of her life. It’s all about Shawna now, so she’s ready for her very own family that will shower her with attention.
If you’d like to give Shawna a loving home, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.

Currently our resources do not allow one central facility for our operations. We have many dogs in foster care and board others at the Canine Country Club. They are located in Phoenix, Arizona. A minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for helping a dog in need.
"Saving Paws" also participates in numerous adoption events year around. We will post these to our website and to this venue as they are scheduled.
