About

Cooper is a gorgeous purebred Golden Retriever who found his way into the City Shelter - when he went stray. Unfortunately his family did not try to find him! Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control (fcacc.org) rescued Cooper - and we are now looking for his forever home.

Cooper is an energetic, lovable dog who cannot be left alone for longer than 4 hours. He will require lots of exercise and room to roam. Cooper does not like to be crated. He gets along great with humans and canines alike, but should not be considered for families with small children or older dogs. He will need definitely training and a patient family.

NOTE - WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER ADOPTERS WHO MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
A home within the Chicagoland area - large enough for Cooper to roam with a fenced-in backyard (no underground fences) and the ability to provide adequate exercise. ,Cooper cannot be alone for longer than 4 hours, nor could he be crated. He will not be adopted to families with small children (over 10 preferred) and he would benefit from another dog in the house.

Cooper neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines and is living with a foster family near downtown Chicago. He will only be adopted through an application and home check process in the Chicagoland area. PLEASE NOTE - HE WILL NOT BE ADOPTED OUT OF STATE - NO EXCEPTIONS! If you would like to hear more about Cooper or request an application - please email fcacfoster@gmail.com. His adoption fee of $200 helps FCACC save other animals from the shelter.
