Meet Katie! Katie is an active 8-year-old beagle mix who came to us from the local shelter and weighs 40 pounds. She is energetic and playful! She loves to play fetch, go for walks, and even goes for runs! She is house-trained and is a fast learner! Katie gets along well with her furry foster brother. She had a rough life prior to joining our foster family. She was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment already. She lost much of the hair on her back-end due to flea allergy dermatitis, but has been treated for that and is in the process of growing her hair back. Katie deserves to have a wonderful forever family and will be a blessing to whoever opens their heart and home to her.

First Coast Beagle Rescue
First Coast Beagle Rescue is a group of volunteer beagle lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners. We are located in the Jacksonville Area.
All beagle rescues are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes. When time permits, our dogs are also house trained and taught basic obedience.
All Beagles are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners. If you are looking for a specific type of beagle and do not see it on our website, please email us. We work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters and may be able to assist you in finding your next furry friend.
