Cuddle bug alert!! Meet Johanna, our cuddling guru. Her joyful spirit is contagious and you can’t help but smile in her presence. She longs for hugs, cuddles and kisses and any and all companionship! She was one of the volunteer favorites while she was at the shelter. She also spent time in playgroup while she was there. She is learning new things everyday but could use some help with mastering her skills. What fun it would be to go to class with her as she is so eager to learn and please.
Could you be Johanna's forever home?
Fill out an application at www.dontbullymybreed.org to meet her.

Shelter Driving Directions
A submitted application is required to meet any of the pets. Animals are located in foster homes throughout the Greater Chicagoland and central IL areas. Please read the animal's bio carefully to find out where they are located.
Greater Chicagoland area and Central IL, as well as parts of southern IL, western IN and southern WI.
The MINIMUM adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs and $350 for puppies. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the dogs while in foster care. All dogs are altered, current on shots, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested (and treated if necessary), and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out.
Why do we charge an adoption fee?
We are all volunteers and as such receive no monetary compensation for our work with the dogs. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the dogs. Adoption fees never cover all the costs that are put into that individual dog, so additional donations are greatly appreciated.
